The 2017 Weightloss Thread

Its a lot more difficult now and I've always had this image that a healthy south African male is around the 100-110 mark.

i know you and me both don't like exercise... but I feel like I have to .... since i lost weight i can actually feel how "weak" my muscles are, especially my legs... when I "flex" it's just the tough marshmellowy business :D :D

actually want to ask apoc for some exercise protips

If you can, swimming is great for tone.

Weighing in a 70.9kg. Even though exercising regularly and eating more or less healthy insulin resistance is creating a weight problem. This morning I started off with AntaGolin which is not medically proven but has less side effects than Glucophage. Already the pressure and tightness in my arms and arrhythmia has improved but the actual measure will be whether there is weight loss or not.

@faniebraai

With reference to our little chat the past day. :D

Weekly weigh in: 102.2kg (So 11kg down from Jan)

Just can't seem to shake these last 2-3kg to get below 100. But at least I'm not putting on weight either.

Just saw this thread for the first time. How do I sign up.

Down 13kgs since getting back from holiday in January. Strangely I am more motivated than ever before. This time I am dropping all of the weight. I also started running again which seems to be helping!

Keep at it. I stood still with no loss for about 2 weeks and then suddenly dropped 2kgs!

Provide me with the following:

Age, Sex, Height, Method of Weightloss, Highest Weight Ever, Starting Weight, I'll add you to the list and then you give us regular updates.

I'm really not doing well. But as per normal, always my own fault. :( I'm actually very disappointed in myself....

Same here. GF is away for three weeks so pulled up my socks.
Week gone already eating well and HIT training every morning at 5.

I thought this thread died.

I'm currently sitting at 78.6kgs and don't think 77kgs is a healthy weight for me, I am just too damn skinny now. I have a bicycle tyre around my stomach instead of a tractor tyre now and its about the only visible weight on me.

I now do running 5 days a week religiously 30mins - 1 hour depending on which route I take and sometimes just for the hell of it I run on the weekends.

I never thought I would be capable of doing that, considering my weekends consisted of sitting on the couch, drinking or walking to the fridge. My poor family cant keep up (ha ha).

Thanks for the push I needed a few months ago

Kicked things off in January as my mindset was in the right place... started exercising heavily - mainly running on treadmill, almost daily. Fitness improved - lost weight drastically, and then suddenly, out of nowhere - boom! Sore knees, cartilage problems by all accounts. Fortunately I have managed to maintain my weight and even lost a KG or so (picked it up again in the last few days) but hope to recover well enough to do the running thing again as it did wonders for my fitness and health.

Age: 37
Sex: Male
Height: 1.96M
Current Weight: 114kg
Goal Weight: 100kg
Heaviest Weight: 125kg
Method: Calorie intake control \ exercise

Sounds like you need to start some strength work instead of all that running

Hmph, feeling like that squirrel in IceAge, the flying one with the flaps of skin.
