Required rate is now getting close to 8 ... with only 5 wickets remaining it's going to be tough

Unlike self deluded Rabada, those Ozzie bowlers opt out of this year's IPL in favour of preparing for the world cup. What ****ing champs.

What amazes me the most, is not long ago the Ozzie had to cheat to try win games, and now are legitimately winning at a canter.

Now that’s a turn around, hats off to them.

My fellow Cricket loving forumites, please help me understand.

Malinga ( and his fat gut ) from SL has the game of his life a couple of games ago to rip through England.

Pakistan play like a team on fire once every tenth game, that game ends being against England.

Today a bowler like Behrendorff, gets a fiver and dismantles England..........

So my Big question is..... is England just unlucky at times or does any one who plays against England step up their game to beat the old Enemy / colonisers

Frankly I have no answer for that. But Ali is not playing at a 100%

Very true, or England needs more players like Ben Stokes..... you know, decent on a cricket field and decent at a night club, bulldog spirit and all.

At least they haven't had any wash-outs. Yeah, the Pakis may be due for a blinder. Their problem is that they have not performed well recently against the Poms. If it come down to a mental game, I would bet on the Pakistanis coming undone. With so much at play, it will be an amazing contest.

Simple.. they lacked the batting depth after the collapse up front. In the end the two middle order batsmen tried to push it along but the risk so far down the order always was against them as the required run rate climbed.

While luck always has some role to play, a team of skilled plays does not get or rather rarely gets owned by a single player/bowler.

If you look back at comments from the start of CWC there were worries that the easy matches till the difficult ones all at the end would give England team a false sense of form.

I’d say this is a problem for the Australian team too albeit they’ve managed thus far. What I do however think is likely is that the Aus vs India match will likely have a lucky streak ending and unbeaten streak.. watch it.. that or Nzl ending their run in semi (another dead CWC final?)
