Thats amazing progress man!!
65Kg is really light though for that height, like really light
@ronnie_94 ya nee boet that is a legit transformation. Congrats

I'm 182cm and I'm coming down from 129kg with a goal of 75kg to 80kg. Dipped under 100kg today for the first time: 99.9kg.

I cannot imagine what being 65kg at about my height must be like. Hectic.

jaysus.

I am 175cm and according to the calipers and the magic scales and stuff, my lean mass is over 70kg ...

Yup, Im 176 or 177 on a great day :)
and I come in between 85 and 90

Total weight or just lean mass?
total weight, i realize how that may have come across
If that was lean mass i would be a terrifying machine of destruction

I am around 14% BF, visible six pack, decent vascularity, could be better but cant keep away from food

14% impressive. Well done

How's it going bud, let's do this..
Thanks, I am gonna be around this thread till I get close to 80 considering 76 is target weight as per BMI. It seems that last reading may have been an anomaly (at least I am hoping it is) as today it shows 95 - which is consistent with my diet and exercise.

You had a swoosh this last week.
Remember fat loss isn't linear.
Good job!

If you want to use a generic type measurement then the waist to height or waist to hip ratios are arguably better than BMI.
I would also caution chasing just scale drops. As an estimate, once you start your weight loss journey you should try not lose more than 1% of your body weight each week.
The goal is to hold onto a bit of muscle whilst your fat drops, this has a few benefits
keeping muscle helps you burn more calories, so rather than lose muscle and fat, you would want to try keep a bit of muscle so that you burn more and dont have to reduce your calories continuously every week.

This also helps reduce rebound where maintenance calories are so low that once someone reaches their goal weight they start eating a bit more and dont realise this is way above maintenance.

Thanks for detailed feedback. That is why I love this thread.

100% not chasing the scale but it is useful to record the weight every week for motivation.

I only lost 6.6kg in about 4 months so my weight loss is way less than 1% per week (start weight 101.6kg) . Initially, I started with a bit of silly additions like beet & carrot juice to replace one meal but found it unsustainable to do it every other day. Since last 2 months, I just eat less portions for every meal and try not to eat anything (at least not anything high calorie foods like juice/biscuits) after 6pm. I sustained this pattern for 2 months without any cravings or issues so I am hoping it will continue.

Recently, I started with a bit of body weight exercises for a bit of muscle gain. Will pick up sandbag once my foot recovers from fracture that happened few months ago.

Good luck!
A common mistake many make on weight loss goals is to diet hard and start working out at the same time.
It is incredibly difficult to make both adjustments simultaneously and very often ends up with quitting.
Additionally there is a possibility that the diet adjustments are just too severe and the drop in calories makes training and living a miserable experience.

I have seen pretty good success with adding some working out and simply just tracking food intake. Not adjusting at all, but becoming aware of how much of everything is being eaten and staying that path for a few weeks.
From there a baseline caloric intake is known and also what is being consumed for it.
It becomes easier to then adjust small things at a time rather than change an entire diet. Having 3 cool drinks a day, drop that to 1 and substitute the other 2. Having a packet of crisps frequently, allow yourself x amount of them a week.
Results will happen and training will also improve. Only then does the diet become a little more adaptive with the training program.

I am not saying other methods dont work and results can definitely happen faster, but I can imagine how much it would suck to be put on a workout program and suddenly change a large portion of diet and habits off the bat

Since last 2 months, I just eat less portions for every meal
This right here is the true secret to long term success.

I would encourage you just like syntax has to take it one step further and more accurately track your calories with MyFitnessPal or something similar. "It is very difficult manage what you don't measure"
