Very much so.

1. A murderer is protected, he actually has a case against him with evidence that will convict him.
2. A man accused of sexual assault with evidence so bad it would not go to trial.

Anyways if you think the UK okes protecting dewani is acceptable it's chilled but after they hunted assange down it looks pretty damn ridiculous.

It shows there are flaws in the process, if the US wanted dewani you can bet he would be on his way to the US but little SA wants a murderer and the court protect him.

If the UK trusted our government, law enforcers and judicial system he would have been here long ago. However and unfortunately can our government and judicial system be trusted?? There is too much corruption and morons running the show so I do not believe any first world country will trust us in this manner and quiet frankly I don't blame them. They are just to polite to say or call it what it is and also don't want to be "racist"!

Pitty though because I would love to see this f_cker have his day.

You're blowing smoke. The UK rejected his argument that he wont get a fair trial here. They do trust our judicial system, they have no reason to believe otherwise. Why would our courts have it out for him? In fact, a corruptible system would work for him because he could just pay them off.

Basically he is not mentally fit, murdering his wife has taken it's toll on his mental health. Haha anyways shame imagine how tough it must be when you get caught for murder. Shame poor dewani.

He might get raped in our jails as well. Imagine a murderer having to face being raped. Naaa shame. That is rather harsh.

Freaking out, and even contemplating suicide is a perfectly rational thing to do when faced with the prospect, why are they acting like it's not? If you're NOT freaking the fk out, only THEN is there something wrong.

Shrien's mental state 'improved'

There has been an improvement in the mental health of British businessman Shrien Dewani, wanted in South Africa for the honeymoon murder of his wife Anni.

The UK Press Association reported that this was conveyed to the Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Tuesday.

The court heard Dewani was set to apply to be treated in an open NHS rehabilitation ward after an improvement in his mental health.

Dr Paul Cantrell, the psychiatrist treating Shrien Dewani, would "wish to see" a relaxation in his bail conditions to help in his treatment and ensure his continued recovery.

The 32-year-old is currently being held at Fromeside Clinic, a secure mental health hospital in Bristol where he is subject to a curfew and must be accompanied by staff when he leaves.

Hugo Keith QC, for the South African authorities, said Dewani's defence wrote to the court and the CPS on Friday, including a letter from Dr Cantrell who described Dewani's depression as having "materially improved".

"It is now to be described as moderate rather than severe, that he still suffers however from severe post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and that in order to assist in his treatment and to ensure a continued recovery not only would Dr Cantrell wish to see a relaxation of the bail conditions concerning his curfew and also the obligation that he be accompanied by a member of Fromeside staff when he leaves the premises, but in fact that he should leave Fromeside altogether with a view to being placed in an open NHS rehabilitation ward in the community."

now i watched a program on C and I the other day on the rape and murder of a young girl named Hannah Foster, this in england.

while i was watching this, the case of shrien came to mind. how is it that the powers that be in england went all out to get this kholi murderer extradited from india, even to the point of offering a 70 000 pound reward for the capture of this fugitive in order for him to be sent back to england to face trial and prison. yet they are protecting this shrien, claiming he is in such poor health.

there is double standards here as far as i'm concerned. i think the lawyers need to bring this case of hannah foster's to the attention of the british high courts and let them know that what's good of the goose is good for the gander.

It is not so much the court, but how/what evidence the legal teams presented the court with. The court only decides on that which is in front of them.
