The Bafana Bafana Thread

That's what I thought, sure there we stoppages but hell no, 9 minutes is too much.

See, this is why I asked previously what the reffing has been like. CAF refereeing can be very dodgy.

Congrats to the women, huge achievement.

Be honest, how many of you knew Bafana was playing today? Anyway, the game is on SABC 3. We’re down 1-0 thanks to a massive mistake at the back by De Reuck.

Long stoppage time may be the new norm. Apparently it was the idea of Pierluigi Collina.
He is just adding all the time the players are wasting every game. They use to only add injury, subs and severe time wasting. Now they are adding all the time ball spends out of play.

At least Foster seem to be improving, still no idea how good he is but he seems to have the confidence, sometimes that's 90% of what a striker needs.

Burnley are all but certain to win the Championship so he will be a EPL player next season but hopefully Kompany sends him out on loan to a Championship club next season if he can't assure him of minutes.

The EPL is a different ball-game to the Championship and so Burnley will bring iin a some guys with top league experience (which could potentially drop Foster down the pecking order). They aren't going to be short of guys wanting to play for them due to Kompany's influence and will probably get a few Man City fringe players into their team due to Kompany.

The Championship is still a very tough league (significantly tougher than the PSL) and so a Foster who is scoring goals there regularly will be good for Bafana.

I'd argue Sundowns are probably lower half of the table Championship quality and most other PSL sides League One level.
