I think from the reports there was an agreement of R5 million for early settlement of the contract but Pitso has now turned around and said it wants a better settlement. The first one seems to have been agreed to over the phone, which is why their is so much of debate surrounding its validity and if it was final.

Always dangerous to assume that someone will stick to their word. If it's not in writing, or recorded, it's just about useless.

Some good news:

The SABC and Safa have reached an agreement with French sports marketing agency Sportfive to show all South Africa's away matches, as well as the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Up next for Bafana are away games against Botswana this weekend, and then Central African Republic and Ethiopia in June next year.

Mazola Molefe of the Times reported on Twitter that SABC CEO Lulama Mokhobo said: "We will never ever disappoint South Africa again. Bafana deserve our support."

The deal is reportedly worth R28-million over three years.

Nothing offical yet, but hopefully this is the end to Bafana black-outs.

SAFA have narrowed the field to 5 coaches:

Safa have narrowed down the search for the vacant Bafana Bafana head coach job to five candidates.

The list comprises of early favourite Gordon Igesund, current caretaker coach Steve Komphela, three-time League title-winning coach Gavin Hunt, national Under-23 mentor Shakes Mashaba, and former Bafana captain Neil Tovey.

At a meeting yesterday, the committee, under the leadership of Chairperson Fanyana Sibanyoni, decided on the five local coaches for the job vacated following Pitso Mosimane’s sacking.

The interviewing process will take place between June 13-18, with the judging panel comprising, amongst others, Jomo Sono and Kaizer Motaung, members from Safa’s technical committee, Safa’s technical director and CEO, Robin Petersen.

Update: The SABC have offically announced that they have all rights to away matches until the 2015 AFCON. They have the Botswana vs SA match scheduled for 3pm today on SABC1. Hopefully we get to see it.

Dodgy looking pitch apparently a university. So Botswana has no proper football stadia? At least they're busy winning. Khompela will be pleased in the hope he can snag the job a bit more full time with the big pay day to go with it.
 
Besides scoring the opening goal in the Soccer World Cup, what has Tshabalala done?
 
Seriously, the way we are playing is so horrendous you could honestly pick 11 random people off the streets and they will play better. Even if we score loads of goals in the second half, the first half just shows the absolute lack of quality we have. The individual players may be decent but together its like they lose all passion and the ability to think and play football.

He did score a goal last year. He has been poor for a while though.

Defense didn't seem to have a plan. We looked like headless chickens at the throw in which caused the goal.
 
Playing even worse this half so far. We should get an entirely new team (new uncapped players) because no one in the squad looks like they want to be there or are playing to win. I guarantee if we had to play some of the school teams we would get demolished.
 
Bloody useless, teach these retards how to shoot and then i might watch.
 
I will take the Bafana coaching job for half Mosimane's salary. 50% off, same results, it's an improvement.

Yeah, I've decided that despite my undying love of football, Bafana Bafana don't deserve to be supported because they don't even try and make up for their lack of skill with heart and determination. They seem happy to get constantly screwed over doing the same thing and its too irritating for me.

Good luck to Igesund, he will go down as one of the greatest coaches if he manages to turn this train wreck around
 
I am not a soccer fan by any stretch of the imagination but half watched the game to see whether the new "coach" could turn it around but there were no power kicks at goal only soft touches and when the ball went pass an open goal there were no one backing up. Even school kids bum rush a goal mouth to try and score.
