Kickoff

Bafana play Morocco away on 11 October, and an unnamed opponent on 14 October.
 
I see Siyanda Xulu has International Caps: 1
I can't remember how many times he has been called. I'd like to see him more since with another young defender

Yes, ideally we should be getting players into the team around 21 or 22. However, not having an under 23 team makes testing players harder. Keegan Dolly and Kgosi Ntlhe are about 20 years old.
 
Tonight's match against Morocco is at 9pm SA time. It will be shown live on SABC1 and SS4. SABC coverage starts at 8.55 and SS and 8.30.

SAFA have again forgotten that the FIFA week extends to next Tuesday, so Bafana have no match scheduled. The rest of the world will be playing, and gaining FIFA points, while our guys do nothing, again!

That they aren't playing? There's nothing on their schedule, on the FIFA or SAFA sights. It's not the first time that SAFA doesn't use a match date either.

I really want to see Xulu get a proper run. He was considered a prodigy in SA, and I hope that his time in Russia has served him well. Claasen is excellent.
 
It ended 1-1. It was a decent exercise, and some new players got game time. Finishing is still an issue though.
 
First the good news:

The South African national football team has moved up seven places in the latest FIFA rankings, into 61st place, meanwhile Bafana Bafana remain the 12th best ranked team in Africa.

Soccer Laduma

And then the bad, SAFA have lost ABSA and Puma as sponsors. The Puma contract was cancelled due to the match fixing scandal, and has been called since January. The ABSA contract expires in December.

Spain, in an international friendly match at Soccer City on 19
November 2013.
The epic encounter will kick off at 21h00.

If this is true, it's a massive coup for SAFA. Hopefully Jordaans first step in the right direction. I can't wait to see who the second November match is against.

An easy 3-0 win last night, with only PSL based players. On to the big one against Spain on Tuesday.

I was wondering, with the road closures tonight, if I have a parking ticket bought from computicket, will they let me past the blockades?
