Well done Baf and Igesund, we would never be able to beat spain with any other coach. So does this mean we have potential to win a world cup?

The PSL still has a long way to go. I think that the problem lies much earlier though, school football isn't good enough. Poor schools don't have the facilities needed, and many rich schools choose not to offer the sport. We also need a talent pipeline. Our U17, U20 and U23 teams should be playing during every FIFA window.

Well done to GI, his tactics were brilliants last night.

Seems like Igesund followed Mourinho ploy in getting all 11 players behind the ball and attack on the counter attack.

Its really really sad, but I heard somewhere that it was SAFA officials that gave the go ahead.

Thats just it, is SAFA brown nosing or something - coz guaranteed, you wont get the same treatment at their home

According to Danny Jordaan England did the sama thing in 2008, made 7 changes in a friendly international and Fifa ruled that the result stood, surely Fifa should apply the same rule here. If the result stands Bafana will get 500 rating points, they are currently on 540 points, so that should take them to 1040 and they will be well into the top 20 depending on how other teams move up the rankings.
 
FIFA has confirmed that the Spain match has been included in
South Africa’s tally, improving their points tally from 540 to 554,
but not enough to move up the ladder.

Bernard Parker’s goal, though there were concerns that the match
could be downgraded because the visitors made seven substitutes

Some good news from the U20 team. They have won the COSAFA U20 challenge. They beat the Seychelles 4-0, Zambia 1-0 and drew 0-0 with Namibia in the group stage. They won their group, and drew 0-0 with Zimbabwe in the semi. They advanced after winning the shootout 4-2. In the final, they beat Kenya 2-0. Hopefully this bodes well for 2015 u20 AFCON qualifiers, which should start next April.
