Yep, maybe he's telepathic or something. He dived the right direction for every penalty.Williams had their numbers
They are way more ordinary than they would like to believe, there were a couple of way better teams than them, we can easily beat them like we beat Morocco. Even if they beat us it won't be an embarrassing scoreline. If we can get past Nigeria, we can win the thing.
But overall, Nigeria is a stronger side. We need them to either have an off day or Bafana take it to penalties once again. We may have a psychological advantage if we take it to penalties against them because they would have expected to finish us off in normal time.
Imagine being the guy who took the fourth one after he had saved all three from one side, all he counted on was the pace, he knew Williams knew which side he was going.Yep, maybe he's telepathic or something. He dived the right direction for every penalty.
People tend to overhype Nigeria, they are good but not the best at this Afcon. If we can get past Nigeria, we can win the thing.

Unfortunately, and as said many times before, this South African side is definitely not the best to ever wear the Bafana jersey, but they grind out results when least expected. Maybe, that is what we need, a "weak" side that is not expected to go far but defied all odds to reach the semifinals.
Like I stated before, Hugo Broos is one crazy madala and I am not putting anything past him.
Honestly, I still think Ronwen is way down the pecking order when I consider the goalkeepers we've had in Bafana Bafana.Yes, Broos has made a difference. Ronwen is suddenly everyones hero but remember Broos saw something in him from the start when okes mocked Ronwen.
Nigeria and then possibly Ivory Coast at home.
If SA get through this then it will be hard to call an AFCON win a complete fluke?
Lol you are retarded.Surprised you of all people are a soccer fan.
Come on, RietLol you are retarded.
/wonders if the same thing is said when the Springboks winA lot of Brown envelopes passed around?
Patrice doing his patriotic duty?
This is Africa after all.
Agree,Broos has made a huge difference. The players mentality and their fortitute to put in a shift and grind results out is clear. They may not have all the talent but they fight for each other and the shirt. That's something that can't be said of previous Bafana teams.People tend to overhype Nigeria, they are good but not the best at this Afcon.

Agree, the boks prefer "performance enhancers"Not impossible, just a "little" less likely - passing of Brown envelopes, is a practice in the local leagues, as reported by aquaintences who have been involved.
We were making it difficult for ourselves giving the ball away cheaply in midfield and allowing them so much space to run.Come on, Riet
Chill, not after last night/ this morning. We are all recovering after the match, our nerves are shot still.
Agree 100%.We were making it difficult for ourselves giving the ball away cheaply in midfield and allowing them so much space to run.
Our defense in the box is great, but they should not try to test that all the time.
Good game. A win is a win.
I wonder how many people recall that we were knocked out of the 2010 world cup with 4 points, in a group with Mexico, France and Uruguay, where we beat France and drew against Mexico. In this tournament Ivory Coast made it with 3 points and they are on their way to the semis.
Proof that sometimes a little bit of luck goes a long way, we got a favourable group and we took full advantage of it, and then one thing led to another.
Of course not saying we just relied on luck, the team has pulled their weight with good performances in some games. The difference between now and other campaigns is using your chances and a little bit of luck.
I am drawing inspiration from the fact that we are competitive, sure there is still a lot to be done but things can hopefully be better from here. Hope it's the last tournament for Xulu and we look for better defenders and hopefully Mothiba and Foster get back, I also wonder why the coach is so against a player like Dino Ndlovu in the absence of Foster and Mothiba, despite our four goals against Namibia we must be the bluntest team in the tournament.Yeah, our performances in World Cups when we made it where not bad. They went out on goal difference in 2002 and 2010. The 2002 team IMO was good enough for a quarter-final run in that WC and we would have made the knockouts had Andre Arendse not made that goalkeeping howler against Spain.
1998, we only lost outright to France who went on to win the tournament. They were competitive against Saudi Arabia and Denmark and 98 was understandable as it was their first time in the WC.
