Russians and any commercially processed sausages are off limits.so supper last night .. one russian sausage with heaps of salad.
breakfast: tea
lunch:800g of biltong
supper tonight: got some italian sausage defrosting .. and will serve with some veg.
Hopefully I wake up early enough tomorrow to make some bacon and eggs.
Supper tonight ended up being 1 liter of castle light and so far 3 Jameson's singles

Your body must be converting muscle to energy by now.
Doesnt matter. The human body is dumb. It will convert fat and muscle to energy. Just trying to help dude. We all say we need to lose weight, when we really mean we want to lose fatLol. I've got enough fat stores to last for quite a long time

Appreciate the advice. gotta put more thought into my daily intake.. need to take the guesswork out of my daily routine and rather plan my meals for the week.
and I was quite tipsy when i responded before![]()
It would have been better for you to eat all of that in one meal than to eat little the whole day.

EDIT: PS your body is not dumb, it uses glucose for fuel, then glycogen, then fat. It will only use muscle if you have no fat left.
That does seem the better option for me though.. I often skip meals while at work, and I never have time to make breakfast. So having a big dinner would be preferable..

800g of biltong is quite a lot... biltong fills me up quite a bit and lasts...
but because i'm a biltong addict, i can never just eat a little... i always over eat... and that stops me from losing weight.
Sorry.. typo... that was supposed to read 80 grams![]()
I doubt that. Every bit of research I read has stated your body will use what ever resources there is to get energy. Be it fat or muscle. It would have been better for you to eat all of that in one meal than to eat little the whole day.

That's why people who go on low cal diet lose weight but pick it up after a short time since it was initial muscle loss.
Effect of Starvation on Protein Degradation.
Except for the 20 to 30 grams of obligatory protein degradation each day, the body uses almost entirely carbohydrates or fats for energy, as long as they are available. However, after several weeks of starvation, when the quantities of stored carbohydrates and fats begin to run out, the amino acids of the blood are rapidly deaminated and oxidized for energy. From this point on, the proteins of the tissues degrade rapidly—as much as 125 grams daily—and, as a result, cellular functions deteriorate precipitously. Because carbohydrate and fat utilization for energy normally occurs in preference to protein utilization, carbohydrates and fats are called protein sparers.
