Keto Cinnamon rolls. Bloody hell they were amazing :D Basically fathead dough but with mozzarella and coconut flour instead of almond. So far I prefer it but would have to try it in some pizza's etc first.

Awesome. I'll have to give that a try.

Also made fathead dough with coconut flour last night for our Russian Rolls. Just added an extra egg and less flour than the original almond flour quantity.

Yes in a nutshell that's the other recipe. An extra egg and 3/4 cup coconut flour with two cups mozzarella. They also add 1/2 tsp xanthan gum to the recipe. That said just add less sugar. Trust me on this. It was delicious but VERY sweet.

So after a brunch at Mugg and Bean yesterday, I entered my food into the fatsecret app which I try to update daily.

For the first time, I searched for Cappuccino and added the Serious Cappuccino from Mugg and Bean which is listed in the FS app. Suddenly I saw my carbs shoot up to 15g! Cut a long story short, I cannot believe how many carbs are in a cappuccino from all the milk they put in it. It really hit home when an article stated "an espresso shot is only about 2 tablespoons of liquid coffee and the rest of the Cappuccino volume is milk / milk froth. WTF?!

So I'm switching to flat white on special occasions and normal filter for everything else. What a waste of carbs!!

Yep, pretty scary. Rather try a filter coffee/americano and pouring cream or some such.

Also, using the fatsecret and myfitnesspal is always good to capture those foods in... a lot of people think they are eating low carb, but because they don't know yet how to read a label, or just think something is low in carbs, they tend to not lose weight and then go "banting doesn't work for me", mean time back at the ranch they are eating the wrong thing or wrong amounts.

I got used to black coffee these days. Sometimes I'll ask for pouring cream but a lot of places now charge you like R15 for pouring cream which I think is unacceptable so black it is with a good glass of cold water.

Fast becoming a favourite of mine and when on special, only R12 per 2... Being someone who drinks at least 3 litres of water at the office, one of these in the evening is a nice change.

Thought I would check cholesterol last week, been under 5 around 2.5 years ago when I started following banting as much as I can(still drink beer primarily weekends, and the volume of low carb veggies in the form of sweet potato, broccoli and cauli exceeds a bit per portion as I do gym and chow quite a lot, I do though follow the fat part quite well on this eating lifestyle) my cholesterol checked out on 4.09 and glucose at 4.6, so pretty damn happy.
