What do you mean....is fruit bad whilst banting because the carbs therein will cause you to get carb cravings & fall off the wagon or is it bad because of the fructose? Sorry, but I'm also still struggling to get to grips with how banting does work.
Fructose is the carb, the problem with fructose is it's metabolised differently to glucose, fructose is metabolised in the liver and is pretty much converted directly into fats for storage as opposed to being used for energy. Fruits have been hybridised over the last century or so to make them much sweeter than they originally where, so they have a much higher fructose content these days.
