The Banting/LCHF Thread

goat's cheese? for why?

I followed this one. Better than a meatza imo. And remember, I'm the veggie hater.

http://www.thelondoner.me/2013/09/carb-free-pizza.html

Tried this the weekend, tastes much better than the mince base.
Strangely enough it also more filling, But boy o boy what a mess it is to make, my whole kitchen was full of cauliflower, like everywhere....and what a mission to grind it, first i tried the blender, that was a total fckup, then I used the twister, this was also a mess up.
Sunday I made another Meatza, think i'm finished with Meatza/Cauliflower pizza for a few months now :p

I picked up 1.7kg and wife lost 0.5kg for the week.
Also not sure what is going on as I definitely did not cheat.
Still lost some centimeters.
Sugar levels 13.2 which is great for me.

I did have half a bottle of whisky on saturday.... but that shouldn't make me pick up weight

I didn't even have anything to drink apart from water and coffee. I'm starting to hear voices of my beer and whiskey calling my name. ;)

Most likely water gain. Dont stress it. This week you will most likely lose double the weight.

See pick & pay now charging R41 for lindt 85/90% choccies

Yip - saw this at PnP on the weekend - insanity! I anticipated this though - Lindt pricing has been fairly stable for a while and I expected the R/$ to have an effect at some point - price point now is insane. I have started using some FREY 78% which is still at the R32/100g mark and tastes awesome.

(Keep in mind I am banting for life and not after weight loss anymore)

I also don't understand what is going on. I did not cheat at all.

My theory is, even if we dont cheat at all, who should not over stuff ourselves with fatty food, what happens to the excess fat we consume?, surely to much of a good thing cant be that good.

Normally I had a full English breakfast, bacon, eggs, muchroom with a sausage, Lunch I would have steak or whatever, and Dinner I would have a full fatty dinner, with real mayo and cheese.....

So I have moved from this to only eggs in the morning, small steak at lunch, and for dinner just a normal carb free dinner.
Fridays I'll treat myself with cheese and mayo, and and and, but I try not to over consume on all the fat. I have mentioned before, Im on a medium fat, Low carb diet

Which is why I use MFP and count calories for the most part.

I have to eat less than 3000 calories per day to loose weight, If you only consume moderate fat like myself, its quite difficult exceeding 3000 calories, my problem is rather the 180g Protein i have to consume daily.

Below are the most things i eat (Ek wissel tussen dit)

1 egg = 80 Calories , 0.5g Carbs Protein – 6.3
1 tablespoon butter : 50 calories, 0g Carbs and 0 Protein
100ml Milk - 40 Calories, 5 carbs, 3.3g protein
200g Steak : 900 Calories, Carbs 0g, 90g protein
100g Pork Chop : 200 Calories, Carbs 1g, Protein 24g
100g Chicken breast : 170 Calories, Carbs 0g, Protein 30g
1cup spinach : Calories 7, Carbs 1.1 gProtein 1g
1cup Caulifower : Calories 25, Carbs 5.3g Protein 2g
1cup Broccoli : Calories 33, Carbs 6g, Protein 2.5g

I understand what you say. I also only have 2 eggs in the morning and sometimes I will add 1 or 2 pieces of bacon, lunch I will have something small to eat and for dinner a piece of meat with veggies.
