200?!? that isn't LCHF at all, sure you in the right thread? :p

So, we have three distinct and practical terms and definitions to use now:

Low-carb ketogenic diet (LCKD): less than 50g carbs and 10% calories daily
Low-carb diet (LCD): 50-130g carbs daily and between 10-26% of calories
Moderate-carb diet (MCD): 130-225g carbs daily and between 26-45% of calories

You can add to that Ultra low-carb ketogenic (ULC): less than 30g carbs

Don't worry, the weight loss per week/month diminishes rapidly after the first few weeks, because as FlashSA mentioned, its water weight loss.

In my case, it was about 5kg a month for the first two months, after that is slowed down and plateaued a bit

Oh my word!!! You lost about 22kg in what? 8months?
Good Lord! I didn't think it would take me so long to lose my 15-20kg.
So, what is your goal if I may ask?

For those who say this is not a diet. What is it then? A lifestyle?
Well... Not for me. My plan is to be on this diet (yes, I think it is) until I reach my weight goal. Then find a balanced way of keeping that weight.

Good luck with that. If you go back to what you were eating before, you will have the same result as you did before.

I said "find a balanced way of keeping that weight". Does it mean going back to what I was eating before?
Read me again please.

Speaking from experience here. This needs to be a lifestyle. You WILL find yourself backsliding otherwise... The balance most people find is wrong, which is why they have a problem in the first place.

Because you say "speaking from experience".

Thinking I could reintroduce some carbs and I'd be able to control things. Nope. Didn't work. Cravings came back and I caved, and I put back the 20kg I lost.

I see. For me if you reintroduce carbs, you must have a plan to flush them out, like 30-45 min gym, 2-3 times a week.
But if you gained 20kgs (I don't know in how long), you must have overdone it somehow.

Does having ketones in your pee mean you in ketosis?

I believe in making my body adapt to what I eat.

Probably at a rate of 3-5kg per year. Same rate I put it on at originally.

Anyway, good luck, I hope you succeed :) I just know that for me, it's a lifetime thing.

So what times of day do you folks eat?

Almost a year into LCHF and I've pretty much settled into the following routine:
07:00-12:00 - Tea and coffee
12:00-12:30 - Light lunch (300ml of curry or stew)
12:30-18:30 - Tea and coffee
18:30-20:30 - Devour my kitchen until full

7am: Nespresso with Cream
Between 11am and 1pm = brunch.jpg - Currently in front of me
6pm - Supper is often 2x scrambled egg with some meat or the egg on low carb toast with grated cheese.

Nice! I love a plain old plate like that, with things like cheese, almonds, biltong, cold meat, olives, or avo. Really great when one doesn't feel like cooking.

Initially I started it to lose weight and the stomach flab that's the result of a staple diet of burgers and pizza for lunch everyday :D

I set my target mark to 60kg and it dropped past that without any effort on my part. I'm sticking to it not because of the weight loss but for the health benefits: not feeling tired all the time, not getting a food coma after eating lunch, not feeling hungry all the time, not feeling like **** if I'm too busy to eat lunch, and less mood swings and anxiety issues.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I don't thing 22kg in 8 months is long. In fact, I think it's quite fast. Obviously initial loss is quick. But after thr first 10 it really is slow going.

Guys? Am I wrong? Anyone else that confirm that?
