The Banting/LCHF Thread

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I don't thing 22kg in 8 months is long. In fact, I think it's quite fast. Obviously initial loss is quick. But after thr first 10 it really is slow going.

Guys? Am I wrong? Anyone else that confirm that?

It's going to vary from person to person, there's so many different factors from a physiology perspective that have an influence

*** I don't think *** :)
True! It's not long. But compared to the 4kg I lost in more or less 2 weeks, it is.
That's what I was referring to.
Anyway, wish me luck! I'm all in!

7am: Nespresso with Cream
Between 11am and 1pm = brunch.jpg- Currently in front of me
6pm - Supper is often 2x scrambled egg with some meat or the egg on low carb toast with grated cheese.

Would you please share your crackers recipe?

This is true. Hopefully not too slow. Hit a new low this morning. Feeling good.

The big thing for us will be at the end of the year. :) Hopefully we will be able to maintain the loss. I already started to eat , somewhat, like I used to and my weight is staying the same.

Took me 7 months to lose 19kg. It slows down considerably when you start to approach your ideal weight.

Had a k*k few last days at work so I decided to treat myself. Yesterday's supper: sirloin steak, creamed baby marrow, mushrooms, onions and melted halloumi cheese, and homemade cheesecake for dessert. I feel better now :D

Aside from the cheese cake nothing to bad!

Cheesecake is actually really LCHF friendly if you just substitute out the sugar (for xylitol/stevia/etc) and the wheat flour for almond or coconut flour. The main ingredients are cream cheese and egg which are pretty much already low carb staple foods

And if you like cheesecake, and you also just so happen to like brownies, the obvious solution is to combine them! http://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/2013/02/brownie-cheesecake-low-carb-and-gluten-free.html

yeh gouda, cheddar and the like is fine. it's processed that's apparently not fine. haven't really looked at the content of processing to see how wrong it really is.

i've been having that rainbow chicken viennas n the carb count for that is about 0.8 per 100g, wondering why
its not allowed?

probably the only processed thing I have in large amounts. That almost non-existent carb count is amazing and they're yummy, heh

we know it's kark, but why is it kark for you?

I would love to have something to, if feeling peckish, to just walk past the fridge and grab a vienna, or something similar/better/still good/or okay

that was my exact thinking behind eating them ... there very few things we can just grab and munch that easy
and not very expensive.
