The Banting/LCHF Thread

Thanks for the tip!
Big up to you! 6 months without cheating? I will be very skinny if the weight loss goes for 4.5kg/10days and I do that for 6 months. I only need to lose 15 - 20 kg.

Don't worry, the weight loss per week/month diminishes rapidly after the first few weeks, because as FlashSA mentioned, its water weight loss.

In my case, it was about 5kg a month for the first two months, after that is slowed down and plateaued a bit

Yep and also no polonies and viennas.

Loumina, LCHF eating is not a diet

I've looked at some cold meats, and the carb/sugar content is quite acceptable. Don't know if there is anything else I should be looking out for.

Thing is though, it's not like I can put the meat on a sandwich or something :D so haven't eaten them yet

I miss fresh breads including Porra rolls, Ciabattas and so forth. On the other hand I guess crooking once in blue shouldn't moer the baby out of the pram

I haven't gone out of my way to crook once, and I'll stay uncrooked until I really can't take it anymore. But for now I'm ok.

I miss coney rolls from local checkers and food lovers :(

I know what you guys mean. Some good ol' focaccia bread or olive bread, now thats' what I miss. There are recipes for LCHF substitutes, but in the end they're just substitutes (also, almond flour is bloody expensive.)

Also for those of you who like yoghurt but feel that double cream/Greek style just isn't enough, I found full fat yoghurt at Spar today:

That one's a bit expensive for me, I found the Fair Cape full fat one to be better in price.

56kg??? I don't know whether you're complaining or bragging? I'm a 108kg now, was 128 in January. Though, I doubt I will reach your weight. I'm 1.87m tall, so I'm aiming for 90kg.

What's you're lenght, by the way?

There's no nutritional info table on the container :(

I know, R16 for just 150g is really pricey! 500ml of Spar brand double cream is only R15. I had to try it at least once though :D

1.7m, so my BMI isn't underweight, yet. I didn't meant to complain or brag, just wanted to point out to him that the weight loss isn't linear, it curves and flattens off after the first month or two

I'm more or less in your category. Now on 110kg from 125kg

So what times of day do you folks eat?

Almost a year into LCHF and I've pretty much settled into the following routine:
07:00-12:00 - Tea and coffee
12:00-12:30 - Light lunch (300ml of curry or stew)
12:30-18:30 - Tea and coffee
18:30-20:30 - Devour my kitchen until full

from your blender?

Cheat days aren't with it imho. Getting bumped out of ketosis means feeling like crap for a day or two as you work your way back in...
Yuck

Like I said, just my experience. Havent been in ketosis , since my carb in take is around 200g a day, so cant comment on it.
