I'm confused about baked beans, everthing I read says they are high in carbs but my wife bought a can of beans that are apparently low carb? Claims 5.5g per 150g?

My mom was telling me that a friend of her has been doing this banting diet for a while now and she lost I think 20kg and have since stopped her cholesterol meds seeing that her levels have normalized. My mom now also wants to do it, but I told her to first go to her doctor, tell him what she wants to do and he must monitor her cholesterol on a monthly basis seeing that she has got genetic cholesterol.

I for one am cutting out carbs and suger as I can. Dont have bread in the house anymore....ate the last few potatoes I had in the house and now trying to eat lots of meat, eggs and green salad leafs with cheese.

on a serious note make your own soup or broth and freeze it in cup size portions, reheat in microwave as needed
