The Banting/LCHF Thread

I got caught out by the weight of the 99% slabs too... thought it was 100g, was only 50g. I eat it with coffee with cream in it, so I don't find it that bitter. If you're eating it on its own though I can definitely understand. If I wasn't eating it while drinking coffee I'd probably use it to scoop up butter or cream cheese or mascarpone or ricotta or something.

Think I will try that tonight with a Nespresso. I have supper to midnight shift with the 1 month old so have time to kill before bed....

On that note, medium fat cream cheese is R35.95 at Woolies (R32.35 if you have a WRewards card). Time for me to stock up and eat cheese cake for the next month!
Why no full fat?

Hmmm had some of that belgium chocolate last night, tastes nicer than the Lindt I think and at 16.5 carbs per 100grms, is a nice snack with 1.65 carbs per square ( 10 in slab, same as Lindt)

This week's menu:
Tuesday: cheesecake
Wednesday: cheesecake
Thursday: cheesecake
Friday: cheesecake

I weighed in at home for the first time in years.

Today I am able to weigh in on my home digital scale.

Starting Weight was 163kg...
4 weeks banting and I am down to

151.4kg

Great work boxerulez.

Soon you will be buying new pants.

I'm actually too afraid to weigh in. Might shock me how much I lost. Probably at around 77kg now.

Down from size 40 pants to 32 fitting loosely. Slimfit T shirts fit nicely and loving it. Self confidence for dressing is through the roof.

For the first time in my life I have a six pack. Okay 4 pack but the other two will soon reveal themselves.

I do workout but I must say that I think 80% is due to diet.

I bought new pants the other after my mom said I can't be wearing my 46s to my new job... so I bought 40s... fits so well, feels so good...

just trying to breakthrough this fekkin' floor I'm stuck in.

Hehe I took my pants to my tailor a while ago as they were really falling off, he modified by about 10-15cm for me. Now a month later the pants are loose again, not as much but getting there. And I bought a new belt after the last had up to 13 holes, the new has only six and I'm already on the second to last one :( Good belts are expensive! Gonna have to get more holes punched.

BTW, Dinner last night:

Wors
Home made caulimash with butter and pepper
Fried egg
Fried mushrooms and diced peppers

Dessert was a mini slab of Lindt 85%.

Just wait it out. Don't change or worry too much.

If anything you can incorporate some light exercise every second day. Take the dogs or kids for a walk if possible.

My supper

6 rashers of bacon
2 eggs fried in bacon fat
1 cup of baby peas with butter

Now having a beer mug of carbonated water with lots of lemon.
