Haven't personally tried them, YMMV

On an unrelated noted, was reading through this article, for those of you with nothing better to do it might make for interesting reading: https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/insulin-causes-insulin-resistance-hormonal-obesity-x/
But we know that calories are rather insignificant. The major question in obesity is this: What is driving up my insulin? Since insulin levels are way up, the body gains weight. Reducing calorie intake doesn’t matter. The body will only further reduce caloric expenditure to match and make the body gain weight. Insulin drives weight gain.

What's the opinion on wines guys? I feel like a nice savignon blanc and I see carbs are like 3-5g a glass?

Lindt 85% - R26.90
Lindt 90% - R29.90

This is at Gardens CT Pick n Pay, no idea if it's a national special or not. Also, the sign says "valid until 06/08/2015", but the cashier rung mine up as R26.90 so... :D

So I made that cheesecake thingy from earlier.

Only difference is I made a almond flour and butter crust for the Base.

Might have had it a few minutes too long in the oven. Tip starting drying out slightly.

Otherwise it was awesome. I also doubled the recipe so I have dessert for the next 4 nights.

Read an article recently on banting.

One local scientist claimed that because of the way we farm and breed with livestock, the suppose to be saturated animal fat is not so saturated....leans more to unsaturated. Is this a false assessment?

Cant vouch for that either way but I am eating my meat from the supermarket not free range anything.

Its tasting good and I am losing my fat.

Have not come across this. What I have read is that the grain feeding of the livestock goes into their meat and this gets passed on to us when we eat the meat, increasing inflammatory risks. Also, there are vaccinations etc which un-free-range livestock are given to combat diseases which spread in close confinement - these also make the meat somewhat tainted for human consumption.

Those are the free-range marketing tools but I do see some truth in them.

Getting back onto banting today after falling off the wagon a few months back.

Question regarding alcohol intake:
I generally don't drink very often, but when I do i tend to binge. My favourite drink is Jameson's. I know that most pure spirits like whiskey, vodka etc are allowed. But how much is too much? i.e. Can I have 10 singles in a night and still maintain weight loss?

Additionally, I have stopped skipping breakfast and now normally snack on 2 Woolies breakfast bars in the morning. Is this a good idea?

Does it have sugar? Those breakfast bars?

PS here is my lunch.
