The Banting/LCHF Thread

There is a little store next to woolies in furrow road equestria that sells a range on Banting products. Not sure about wraps though.

Is it that little shopping centre right at the Simon Vermooten N4 off-ramp? The one where all the road works have been going on for such a long time?

Is there a place in Pretoria where one can buy banting wraps or pitas?

Making some peri-peri chicken livers tonight and having it without some sort of "base" doesn't seem right.

Alternative options perhaps? What would you have with nice spicy and saucy chicken livers?
Chicken liver wrapped in bacon then skewered on toothpicks maybe?

Grab the cauli wraps from Woolies, they go oh so nicely with chicken livers, nom

yep.. that's the one.

Awesome. Know it. Will phone and see if they stock something that'll work.

Thanks

That is a nice idea for the future but I'm really craving saucy livers. Want to scoop it on to something and take a bite and then clean the remaining sauce off the plates with the bread/pita/wrap. :)

OT but that saying its a marathon not a race can really annoy sometimes, especially round Christmas.

Still working on weightloss and am staying strong through festive season but it can be difficult and feel so sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Stil avg ~200grms a day, 1.5Kg a week.

I had about 5 or 6 days of not banting when I had my 40th recently and was dreading measurements and weigh-ins but I lost 1cm and only gained 1.7kg's. So, in saying that, I won't feel too bad letting go a bit for Xmas day and Boxing day at all.

Here's a quick recipe for one flatbread

Ingredients

0.5 deciliter almond flour (ground almonds)
0.5 tablespoon linseeds / flax seeds
0.5 tablespoon crushed linseeds / flax seeds
0.5 tablespoon finely ground rose hip peel
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
2 pinches sea salt
Serve with:
1 teaspoon butter
3 thin slices strong cheddar cheese
How to

Mix all the dry ingredients: 0.5 deciliter almond flour, 0.5 tablespoon linseeds, 0.5 tablespoon crushed linseeds, 0.5 tablespoon ground rose hip peel and 2 pinches of sea salt.
Stir in 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of water.
Spread the mix on a plate and put it in the microwave on full effect for 2 minutes. You can also fry the bread, but then it tastes a little more like omelet.
Let the bread cool and server with butter

So the people that are doing the full Banting thing. Are u guys skin and bones yet ? Or does the weight loss stop at some point

Damn, those look yummy :)
...... such good mop up things I tell you.

..... it can stagnate but you just gotta change it up or add/change exercise and it starts moving again. Initial drops can be huge but it's an ongoing thing in most cases.

Yep, down 41kgs since I started.

I like that as it drops, especially for us bigger chaps, the active thing becomes more and more so. The stuff I do now in a day, year or two ago me would be plotting my murder.
