The Banting/LCHF Thread

This will help

Not a bad video but a couple of inaccuracies. As far as I know, muscle is the least preferred source of energy. You won't start burning muscle unless you have no fat left, or if you don't use those muscles.

What he says about eating too much fat is true though.

These days high intensity interval training is preferred over regular cardio for weightloss.

If you going to be Banting its a lifestyle hence the LISS cardio as you are playing the long game. HIIT works but will you need to use it sparingly or else you will fry your Central Nervous System.

Got any articles supporting the statement that HIIT will fry your CNS if you are in keto most of the day?

Pitched up for the parkrun at botanical gardens and struck it lucky as today is also the banting market.

Will take a stroll through it all Sweaty and tired afterwards.

Fathead pizza has been a lifesaver these past couple weeks ..... Can use that base for a variety of things and it being so easy to make is king.

At R377 a kilo I'd rather buy steak instead :erm:

Edit:
Just got back from the shop, bulk almonds have gone up from R299/kg last week to R349/kg. Rather buy macadamias at R189/kg while the price holds...

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well.

I reached a personal weight goal on Sunday. Hit 90kg down from 108kg in 10 months. My wife is struggling a bit with her weight loss. She's down to 45kg from 53kg. She's been stagnant since the beginning of the year.

One problem that's been occurring the last 2 to 3 weeks is my wife's blood pressure is dropping low (<80/60). Any advice or home remedies to higher her blood pressure?

Any of you guys or gals using moringa leaves, powder or tablets? We're looking to start using the tablets.

Not exactly sure but my guess would be 1.4m to 1.45m? I'll check later this evening.

How does she reach the top shelf of the fridge? If she's having trouble losing weight I'd suggest moving all the food there.

How healthy is soda water? We go through about 10 litres a week, and she drinks about 75% of it. She adds freshly cut lemon slices into it.
