The Banting/LCHF Thread

Just a FYI. Banting pork sausages at Checkers taste like ****. Do not buy.

Strange question...

Been LCHF for almost a year now... I find sometimes I get rosy cheeks or as I like to call a hobo tinge... those alcoholic looking cheeks...? Is this possibly because I don't drink enough water?

Just coffee... no water..

Problem that. Coffee is fine but its also a diuretic ( ie: flushes water out your system ). I drink lots of coffee ( black ) and still put away about 2l of water a day as well. Sometimes more as you can get really bad dry mouth. Body needs water to cool as well, especially in summer so you may find the redness due to heat and insufficient liquid to cool/sweat.

So all have been quiet in this thread.

So who has fallen off LCHF and who will be back on the train?

I fell off the last couple of weeks and the time has come to focus and get back on......

i went off in dec, binged my arse off to get some of the stuff out of my system, and back on since the 1st. Join the weightloss thread if you want to.

Also went off in December, gained about 3.5kg. Started again on Monday.

So i was actually wondering the other day (and then I got too lazy to look for this thread to ask the question) what's the quickest way one can get your body into keto mode?

Fasting, I would imagine. You are already typically starting into ketosis when you wake up.

I'd just not eat for 24 hours, which is what I do anyway.

Pretty much. 24h period of the body absorbing less than 20, should put you in ( 20 is a rough guide, some folks can get away with a lot more but everyone should be in ketosis if less than 20 is consumed )
