The Beard Styling and Suggestions Thread

Nothing wrong with DIY beard oil. Get a decent carrier oil and mix in the supplementing [and scent] oils.

Exactly! don't mix everything at once make small batches! hehe may even start a small business

Eish .... gonna have to get a trimmer and start doing it myself instead of waiting for my twice a month haircut at the barber. Growing to quickly. :( Sure it is my imagination, but it feels almost if the beard is growing faster than the stubble where the barber shaved the line.

As per profile. Keep it at number one once a week.
My sexobject's skin is very sensitive. If I shave it off completely I cannot even make light contact with her. irritated skin and even more irritated woman....

For the DIY'ers.
How do you guys go about getting a straight shave from your sidies to your cheek ?
I basically cup my cheek, thumbs down, and and use the razor blade to shave down to the edge of my hand.

Did that even make sense

Fliping hell, shaving your own beard is now DIY?
No body is going to come measure your beard with a vernier, and TBO no one gives a ****. Just shave and move on with your life FFS.

Wondering if any other of you bearded wonders have suffered/still suffer from dry skin under the beard and flaking as a result..?

From my experience, you should just try it until you find something suitable for your skin. I know that may sound stupid, but, for example, some aftershave products and balms which are suitable for my brother aren't suitable for my skin and vice versa. All I can also suggest is do not neglect moisturizing, check this article, personally I liked Rugged and Bluebeards balms. Also, that may be the only time when a Wikihow page helped me https://www.wikihow.com/Care-for-a-Beard

Simple solution for this is

Beard steam towel treatment or in order

1. In shower message your skin under beard beard with fingertips for long beards or shower brush for short beards
2. Apply decent oil to skin under beard
3. Massage with finger tips
4. Lighty Authentic boar bristle brush you beard and it's skin

X. Additionally I use beard cream before 2. On the beard hairs, not skin under it

Don't blow dry, don't over wash your beard.

Once week wash with beard shampoo and rest of the week just water wash / co-wash (long and thick beards).

Reason you get that itch and flakes is because of lack of skin stimulation, moisture, and sun light. Besides this will aid in healthy beard and its growth.
