I tested the exchange first with a 'test buy order' and cancelled to see how long it took to update. Still risky but there wasn't much happening then on the exchange. I also got nailed for quite a bit of my profits on Wednesday with the lags. Unacceptable, but what can you do? It's easier to make money on Luno. I will be playing it very safe when trading volume gets out of hand again.

Yeah it's a good thing to do a test to see how fast things are being processed. Will also go that route the next time the **** hits the fan.

Hopefully Luno focuses on getting the trading balance delays fixed instead of other not so important things.

Even Altcointrader suffers from the issue that it trades low volumes so you can't really make major use of volatility in the mainstream markets. It comes and goes but mostly it's stable.

Is there a way to set up the app so that it can be used for the exchange only and not withdrawals of cash or crypto? I ask because if someone were to get a hold of my phone they could get everything I have on luno, especially since the app is always logged on. With the pc, you would still need login information and 2FA.

You can always set a pin so it won't allow transactions without the pin. If your phone were to get stolen your coins should be safe.

I wonder if the Luno PC website allows you to log out from the phone remotely. That would be a handy feature

Thanks, forgot you were asked for the pin when making withdrawals - can anyone confirm you need the pin for all withdrawals incl crypto? You could just delete the api key on your computer which would essentially log you out on the phone

Luno strikes again... Made a deposit over an hour and a half ago..

STILL NOTHING!!!

I dunno man. I had issues with them only once so far. What amounts are you depositing and did you take their advice? If you deposit a generic value like R1000 or R10,000 it's hard to find. Choosing something like "R9921" is easier to pick up.

I just did an FNB deposit and it reflected in my luno wallet within about 10 seconds.

Looks like BTC is bouncing back nicely now. I bought Eth and Ltc during the slump...no Btc unfortunately.

Another thing I did was to put my luno app in a secure folder on my phone. So everytime you want to open luno you need to scan your fingerprint first.
