Is it really better to exchange ETH to BTC before selling on Luno to get out more money?

I’m not sure about that but ethereum seems to be dropping.. you think it will stabilize or drop down again?

Anybody looking for a Ledger Nano S? I finally received my second one (from Ledger directly) today. Still sealed. I'm in CT, willing to ship at your cost and risk.

Price is R1350 - pretty much what I paid (R1200 for ledger and shipping, Sars charged me another R150 today.)

When it reached $1000 it also dropped again before being stable above $1000 ($1017 ish). From what I've seen this is normal and should be stable in a few days to hopefully climb again slightly :)

what makes you think that this might be so?

I saw a few people on here converting ETH to BTC before selling on Luno and was wondering why/if it means more money for them or something.

Wish I saw this before I paid R1999 for mine literally minutes before you posted this :/

Damn, dude, unlucky! It's a great little device, though.

If you go straight from ETH to ZAR you pay luno fees. If you go through the exchange to BTC and then again through the exchange from BTC to ZAR, you can get away not paying fees.

In my understanding you can't trade ETH on luno, so you have to do an instant sale and encounter high fees, so instead convert ETH to BTC and sell on exchange as "trade maker" to minimize your fees.

PS Im not using Luno, so commenting under correction.

So, is Luno still the preferred option for trading ETH and BTC or has it changed?

Hi, what do you mean by local and international?
Local for buying ETH / BTC, international exchange for trading (altcoins, USDT etc.).
Many people buy BTC / ETC locally and send to international exchanges to trade for other cryptocurrencies.
