That's what I did a little earlier this morning, since ETH also took a small nosedive. Was a good call, it seems, as it's climbing again.

PS: I'm day-trading. Keeps me entertained :P
 
i took some time this morning and read about ETH and BTC predictions for 2018. It seems that BTC will have a nice run, more than ETH. (Allthough both will go up, BTC will have the biggest % growth)

What's your opinion ?

I think in the short term BTC will have a better run. Lots of people have sold and are waiting on the sidelines for the bottom. Once it starts climbing again everyone is going to jump in and the price will be back at $20k in no time. I predict $20k by end of Feb.

Good thing about BTC is that its 35% away from ATH, so everybody expects it to claw back those losses. But this will only happen around end Jan towards Feb. But what we do in the meantime is what's interesting.
 
With the hype at an ATH, there is a lot of non-trader(stupid/pleb) money flowing into crypto. That might go towards the lower priced/emerging currencies. Mentally it is easier to move from 1 to 2$ than moving from 100k to 200k. I would bet on ETH instead of Bitcoin for % movement for 2018. I am a pleb.
 
The markets are weird today. Even Bitfinex looks a bit odd. The price has been holding/bouncing off $13580 for the last hour but there's no major wall or bid volume there.
 
what does the interwebs predict for litecoin 2018? thinking of hitting litecoin again, been drifting at about 3400 for long now
 
There are a few big sellers on Luno since this morning. I've seen sell orders of 20 BTC at a time being placed on the exchange. Fairly large amounts considering the volume going through Luno.

Yeah the one guy was dumping off 20BTC at R186k and kept dropping his price down, eventually to R183k, to buy out everyone. He could have just sold it off in small amounts closer to around R190k even back then.
 
might be a good time if you want some small gains, when Bittrex reopens new registrations fully might lead to a small pump
