The BMW 320d Fanboy Thread

My daily car

E90 , 320D, bought in 2011 with 6000Km , as at today 280 000km.

Consumption currently around 5.8l

Serviced by BMW , beside normal wear and tear , only Fly wheel had to be replaced at around 18500km

I somehow made a my 320D's 57 (...though 59 at the pump???) litre tank last 2 months.
Still hurts filling it up.
Petrol may be cheaper, though most petrol cars will likely use more fuel...it probably equals out in the long run cost wise.
Only petrol car I'd consider these days is the new Honda Civic ehyrid, which we sadly dont get here.
 
You can drive a 320d a lot harder and get the same or better fuel consumption than a petrol car, I have to baby my 1.4 TSi Golf and keep AC off to get 6.5l/100km on a tank. In my old E90 it was boost all day and get the same consumption. And open road 4.4l/100km. So I still would prefer a diesel even if the fuel is more expensive per litre
