The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Yip, it's not 2.5kg of muscle that he gained :p

Agree - we've all been there - expecting to put on a KG of muscle every 2 weeks. Not going to happen. Rather do the measurements and weight over 3-6 month periods.
The secret is to enjoy the journey and be patient/consistent.

I want to be a little heavier, have more muscle. So i started taking hyperbolic mass. Its working i gained 2, 5 kgs. Im 74 kgs now. I feel good when training, training a bit harder. But the shake bloats me and i feel my stomach is sticking out a bit. I pride myself in keeping my stomach flat at 35. I dnt want a fat stomach, its sucks.

I dnt eat alot, so the supplements work for me. What do i do? More cardio? Should i continue with this product. Help

Eat more good, bulking foods (like egg, tuna, potato, rice, etc) and stop taking the mass gainer. Stop eating/drinking things that make you bloat.

I wish they make supplement containers without the sharp egde on the inside. I often cut myself when I dip my big mitts in those buckets.

I have noticed again today that my knees are ****tttt but from what I have no idea. I can't even squat with just the bar. My right knee cap hurts precisely in the middle of the cap when I go down.

I tried individual leg extension and the most I could do was 29kg on my right knee. What can I do to fix this? Why is this happening? Who do I need to see to have a look at it?

Even if I sit down I have some discomfort in my knees.

Its also not like Im 50 or something, still 33 now.

I've also been having squat related knee issues, I've been trying to focus more on putting weight and pushing through the heel instead of the ball of the foot/toes and it seems to be getting better slightly

Tried that today, almost cried.

Leg extension puts loads of pressure on the knees. I'd ease up on that

I get that from time to time - sometimes I just do some very easy squats holding onto something like a bar to ease the pressure and try again in a day or two's time. Walking regularly also helps me.

This has been coming for more than 4 months now. Sometimes I can leg press my normal weight other days I sound like an old man when I take a seat.

Might be worth an x-ray, especially long term. I need to have mine checked too.

I have an issue where my left side is stronger than my right, so my right side over compensates when I run or do any other compound movements. The imbalance puts pressure on my left ITB, which caused pain in my knee. Went to a bio for a few sessions and she gave me some corrective exercises and helped with the pain using Myofascial Release. Your issue is not running related, but imbalances in your form may put pressure on other parts of your body.

When doing exercise, you should not feel any pain, except a working pain in the muscle. People tend to push through the pain, and this causes bigger issues as the body tries to compensate. Spend a bit of money to get it sorted so your hard work does not get wasted.

Thanks. So the person to see is a biokineticist?

Correct. Good luck. Keep us posted as I am interested to hear about how you fix it.

Be prepared though. The exercises that I was given are no joke. I was shocked at how weak my one side was, and I considered myself fit and strong(ish, for a triathlete). The Myofascial Release is also frikking painful, but I always feel a very good range of movement afterwards.
