The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

I agree, although i've been using straps for back day when grip fails.

Really helps get a solid workout

Actually considering getting some straps for dead lifting.

Have reached a point now where my grip is failing before anything else.

I got a cheapie set from MRP Sports for about R70. Takes some getting used to..

But it's awesome when working on body weight pull ups and chin ups (1.5 and 2 reps respectively :D)

Guys, my whey is critically low, know of any decent deals floating around?

Hey fellas. What is Anabolic Creatine? Better than monohydrate or simply a marketing ploy by USN?

Thanks Raphael123, I'm actually taking the Evox "BCAA Stack" not their Amino Energy (BCAA Stack has zero carbs and zero calories - I just take it when I do fasted training), but will have a look at SSN and Supplements SA and see how the price per serving compares :o

Sounds like some marketing BS to me.

Add a few extra words to the name - sell the same product for more money.

Spent a week on a work trip and and nothing beats going back to the gym.

So after months on a Keto diet to cut down on body fat I started with a more clean bulk than last time.

My macros for the bulk will be 40/40/20 (Protein/Carbs/Fat). But having been on keto for so long I am really struggling to get my head around the carbs. It also means I am constantly missing my calorie target and especially my carbs macro. Currently my fat intake is too high. Love my avo and cheese thanks to keto.

What do you guys do for carbs? I am trying to keep my carbs as close as possible to my workouts so too much carbs during the day is not ideal. And getting all those carbs in with one meal will make me want to puke.

Any tips or advice?

Thanks

Marketing ploy, just like most supplement descriptions. Buy the cheapest creatine monohydrate you can find, I guarantee you it's exactly the same as the ones from expensive brands.

I was exactly the same after finishing with keto last year.
Just try stick to low GI carbs. I eat a lot of oats, veg, basmati rice (white & brown), sweet potatoes, wholewheat bread, Rye crackers, etc.

Thanks.

I like oats but I can never get myself to eat it any other time than breakfast. Just doesn't feel right. Will probably have to get them in with protein bars then.

I forgot about sweet potatoes actually. Love that stuff. Will get a bag this week.

Just need to plan better.
