The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

A typical day for me:

I have an awesome breakfast pancake recipe which uses ½ cup blended oats, works well.
Generally, I have a cup of raw oats with a small handful of raisins with milk for breakfast.
Sometime I will blend half a cup in a protein shake if I had a low calorie day.

I follow his program as well. Well, kinda changed it up a bit now. I love his approach to everything.
His physique it what I am aiming for.

On my bulking cycle i use a banana in place of the sweet potatoe and the rest is pretty much the same. Use 1 whole egg for binding and some egg whites and a bit a chocalate whey for the protein and the oats I blend to substitute for flour. You can still top if with some stuff IIFYM.

That recipe is actually one of Mike Matthews' from his recipe book. It's good as a basic, but can also be easily changed with substitutes.

I'm interested in the Keto diet. What sort of foods would fall into the carb and fat category? Keeping in mind though that cooking during the day is pretty much out of the question...

edit: I see its a lot more complicated than I thought. Better question: Recommend me an app that will calculate what foods I need daily based on my macro-nutrient requirements?

Good price and a good protein this.

Not a fan of strawberry and in general strawberry shakes tend to have more sugar content across the board so if you counting calories be careful. I have used this when it went on special earlier this year at Pick n Pay and the choc & Vanilla taste good. This added ZMA works well if you train hard as they deplete pretty quick. Bit of creatine in there which is good, not to worried about the testo as thats proven not to work. I really saw results with this protein powder and now its a 1 scoop must in my post workout shake and the other scoop I use is a pure isolate. Good price and I can say from experience it does work.

I like the vanilla and finishing off my strawberry :) I like it because it is pretty cheap and low in carbs :) Going to get chocolate next

That 20% off supplements on the weekend at Dischem is like Christmas for bodybuilders. Gonna get me some MuscleMeds & BPI.

Anyone else here have issues with their knees on the leg press?

My left knee burns quite badly when leg pressing heavier weights.

I've tried different feet positions and pressing using different parts of my feet - but nothing helps.

Squats are no problem though - as long as I concentrate on forcing my knees outwards - if I don't do that I get a similar issue in my left knee that I do when using the leg press.
