The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Yeah. Weights are crazy expensive.

I usually check the classifieds sites for bargains. Picked up quite a few that way.

And once Makro had a special on 20KG plates for R400 each. So I immediately got 2.

Mine were from Makro :( But R400 for 20kg plates is a great buy

How can i overcome late night hunger pangs
I tend to stick to my diet in the daytime

However i tend to get hungry late at night and snack on all the wrong foods

Any suggestions how to beat the hunger?
What is your goal? How much is your calorie deficit?

Erm, sleep? Try cottage cheese with peanut butter.

I ordered online without trying on first. There is a size chart somewhere specific to Inov-8 shoes, and I just followed that guideline. I actually find mine to be a little on the larger side.
What size UK are you usually and which Inov8 size did you go for?

I need to loose some body fat, not counting calories

Problem is i end up polishing off a 125g packet of chips ( crazy carb cravings).

Prepare low carb, low calorie veggies to snack on at night then.

Is your scale moving up or down? Have you been losing body fat?

On a good night, 6 hrs. Im a very bad sleeper
have a similar issue which I really need to address. 8 hours sleep is essential to fat loss. That's 2 hours less per day that you are in danger of getting hunger pangs as you put it. Lack of sleep will slow your metabolism down and kill your willpower to avoid the bad foods.

OK, my Inov-8's are also a UK12. Based on that, I wouldn't go for a bigger size if I were you. Just get your normal size.
Otherwise see if you can find somewhere that stocks them and try them on, since they do half sizes as well.

Since Aug. the 22nd I've lost 4.5kgs just by avoiding refined sugar wherever I can...amazing.

Edit: August, not Sept

Yeah the real carb culprit is sugar. I believe carbs have their place in a diet. Especially when lifting.

Avoiding sugar is already a massive step in the right direction.

It is pretty much empty calories. Especially with stuff like Coke.

Having said that, I do still enjoy my occasional ice cream, lemon meringue or cheesecake.

Lekker bly lekker!

It's definitely hard, I can eat sweets for days...things like muffins and cake are my end.

Good thing is I've been actively working out for about 2 years now, so not really out of shape even with the added 4.5kgs :p

Used to be the same. Now it is luckily just the occasional treat. Perhaps like once a month.

Think it is important to reward yourself when hitting goals.
