The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Like i once said we require better regulation in the local supplement industry, hopefully this can assist you in your purchase of whey protein.

Correct - people go for the marketing hype and think that if you take the product it gets you there. It's all about your diet and the wholefoods you consume.

On a good night, 6 hrs. Im a very bad sleeper

Fuark, I feel sorry for you. Must be terrible. But as I said, try eating cottage cheese, 200g or so. It should also have around 25g casein.

Heh, I was looking at some PWOs, and came across cellucor's c4. Apparently it's one of the best PWO's on the market. Decided to do some math :

Servings : 30.

Price : 30 Euro.

Significant ingredients : Beta alanine, caffeine, l-arginine, l-tyrosine, creatine.

Cost per serving : 1 Euro.

If you buy the ingredients yourself, the cost breakdown should be as follows :

Beta alanine : 7.50 Euro for 300g.

Caffeine : 8 Euro for 200 tablets. That's 40g if there's 200mg caff per pill.

L-arginine : 9 Euro for 300g.

L-tyrosine : 6 Euro for 100 caps. With 500mg per capsule, you get 50g per bottle.

Creatine : 10 Euro for 215g.

Total cost : 40.5 Euro. Depending on where you buy, I'd say a 5 Euro error margin is fair.

C4 contains 1500 mg beta alanine, 1000mg creatine, 1000mg l-arginine, 200mg l-tyrosine, 160mg caffeine.

Assume you only plan to do this once. Let's check how many serving of each ingredient we have, dosage being the same as C4.

Beta alanine : 200 servings.

Caffeine : 250 servings.

L-arginine : 300 servings.

L-tyrosine : 250 servings.

Creatine : 215 servings.

Since we are only doing this once, your total servings are limited to the ingredient with the lowest amount of servings, aka beta alanine. You get 200 servings with ideal conditions, but of course expect to **** up and spill the powder somewhere. -5 to 10 servings.

Cost per serving(with max margin of error, both servings and price) : 0.23 Euro.

Preparing and mixing that **** is probably more trouble than it's worth, but if you have a lot of time and not a lot of dosh, the above can give you some ideas.

Thanks for the suggestions
Will give it a go

Thanks for the info @CodeMaster. My Inov-8's are on the way. Can return em if they are too small. While I was at it I grabbed a nice dipping belt for good measure :P

Who is cutting for summer? Hows the starve going lol - eating more spinach leaves than anything else!

Starting, and looking forward to, a cut from next week after a very successful lean bulk.

Did slightly fall off the bandwagon the last 3 weeks because of year end functions, school parties and family gatherings but nothing too serious.

You guys cant be bulking year on year? Not getting tired of all that eating?
I don't bulk or cut actually. I eat as much as needed to maintain strength gains.

My cardio and lifting sheds the fat. Much slower going losing fat this way of course...but I'm not giving up strength no sir.
