The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

we spoke about this before in boksburg son

Ahh yes, you go to Protea... Now I remember.
The thing is, at the moment gyming at home suits me due to family and work responsibilities.
If I were to join a gym, it would most likely be the local Virgin Active  just to get the Discovery Vitality benefits.
Thanks for the offer though.
What are Protea's hours during the week?

Kai out of the Olympia is the bigest ****storm to hit bodybuilding. IFBB should sort out their politics and be fair. Not gonna watch it live this year but will see highlights and roundups.

Hi all, I've recently started taking Evox's BCAA Stack but was hoping to find a more affordable BCAA alternative. Any recommendations?

Its pretty cheap i think Evox even copied the name of Optimum's and call it Amino energy. The SSN one is quite good but the most affordable one is the Supplements SA in Game for R130. Has some leucine and HMB in it too for intra, pre & post whenever you want to take it.

honestly i would lie if I told you, but it is at least 6 am - 9pm that i know of, and unless you have vitality already for other reasons it is a rip off, my gym cost is less that vitality and the reduced fee at R250 p/m and virgin/planet fitness are ***, sure nice machines and generally some eye candy but you end up waiting for benches or looking for weights or some douche using 3 machines at the same time, but actually chatting the whole time.

FFS, this makes me mad!

dude I can rage, even at my private gym you sometimes get the odd guy, puts a water bottle on one machine, a towel on the other and sits on the 3rd, then chats for 10 minutes before proceeding to lift a lady like volume of weight on one before proceeding to 2 minutes break and moving on to the next machine and so forth.

I have literally completed half of my workout program waiting for one machine a guy was holding like this, that is 4 exercises of 4 sets, of medium reps with adequate breaks. So i might be in the gym for 35-50 minutes but I probably move double the weight that guy does in his 2 hours.

Just go to a staff member and have him hurry the guy along.

That's what they are there for ... to manage to place.

Sad no Kai Green at this years Olympia. Looks like Phil "douchebag' Heath will win it unless Flexatron or Big Ramy bring it

So I lost my gym gloves.. Thinking of picking up a belt as well for my deadlifts when I buy replacements.

I usually buy my stuff on Takealot but I see no belts listed and they have crappy gym gloves too.

Can any of you steer me in the right direction to buy probably both my new gloves and belt in CPT? I prefer online purchases though

I was looking at some fellow gym mates the other day and I noticed a distinct lack of leg hair among them.

20 minutes ago that memory raised itself in my consciousness again and I wondered if I should also shave my legs to enhance the look and feel of my leg muscles.

I'm a bit hesitant since leg hair is suppose to be a mark of true masculinity ... although much of my leg hair has been stripped off due to the friction of constantly wearing long trousers. Chinos mostly ... 20 years.

I've shaved my legs once before, when I was in high school. That was about 20 years ago.

I stopped wearing gloves a few months ago - takes a while to get used to - but I now wouldn't wear them ever again.

Feel I've got far more control now - especially when dead lifting.

I agree, although i've been using straps for back day when grip fails.

Really helps get a solid workout
