The Bodybuilders Thread: Circuit II

Aight well my weight is going up really fast, strength not really though.
Butt naked I weighed 70.2 today I'm literally getting bigger by the day (not necessarily more muscular).

Last time it took me around what, 6,7? months to reach 70kg.
This time I hit it in a little over two. I would say muscle memory but it's not. I'm weaker now at 70 than I was then so I probably ****ed up my metabolism in the last two years cause I just stopped eating altogether, would just eat when hungry probably averaged less than 1900 calls a day eish.

Though size has returned somewhat bad are almost gone again. Would say I'm 13% bf maybe (all 6 abs are visible but just barely and I need to flex them)

But idk, I was always training for strength and didn't care about fat gain so I defaulted back to that training style.

I tend to store fat in my legs tho like I'm some high estrogen lady boy fml

You guys are heavy on the coffee. I maybe drink 1 cup a day.

Was never and have not been a coffee person and also a pre-workout person. Only drink in the mornings when its cold

I only drink coffee once every two weeks or so. I view people that drink multiple cups of coffee every day, the same way I view people that drink multiple glasses of alcohol every day.

I am a self acknowledged/aware addict sir.

I KNOW I have a problem. What I don't know is how to get off this without death.

I drink what 8 - 12 cups of coffee per day for the past I don't know how many years. It does not affect my body anymore.

Now if I miss a cup then I literally feel like dying I'll get nauseous, headaches etc.

In otherwords I have a legitimate caffeine addiction and I am not sure how to stop without dying.

It's terrible since coffee is quite expensive nowadays.

If you don't mind Rooibos it could be the odd replacement to help reduce caffeine intake? I'm also addicted to coffee, but not necessarily because it's coffee but because of the hot beverage aspect and routine. So Rooibos certainly helps :)

Not a bad suggestions perhaps I should get myself some proper tea as I think there is quite a bit of Caffeine in tea as well?

Then I might be able to bring my caffeine consumption down and down as its definitely the caffeine that is the underlying addiction

I've always heard that normal tea (i.e. Ceylon) has more caffeine than instant coffee, but to check facts I quickly googled it and apparently this isn't entirely true :) While the leaves may have a higher concentration of caffeine apparently after brewing it is usually a lot less in caffeine than your standard instant coffee mix. So in that case tea should help a little.

Or if you can handle the taste then go with decaff coffee which has significantly less caffeine than normal brew. Personally I don't mind decaff either.

But all in all, Rooibos has absolutely no caffeine. So alternating between this and coffee should help reduce caffeine pretty well I reckon. Don't go all in on Rooibos though, at least not at first :)

I don't do instant coffee. Well I don't think it is instant coffee?

I have the coffee you put into a coffee machine if that makes sense?

Filter I think.

You also use a lot less tea leaves to make a cup of tea than you do coffee beans to make a cup of coffee :)

SA companies and health clubs need to catch a wake up. I've been searching for a decent yoga mat for over a week and none of these studio have an online purchase system. Ended up purchasing from overseas.

It's been a good run. First time missing a workout in over a year because of injury.

You mean decent in price or construction? Takealot have quite a few.

Its still a kind of steroid.

Sorry man, to get back to you on this.

It's not really a steroid, but after researching into it more - it might as well just be. It still shuts you down, however because it's selective you get less of the androgenic side effects but alongside that it limits how much it can bind to the androgen receptors as well (ie muscle building etc.) so the effect is far milder on muscle growth.
