Is it possible to get sugar poisoning?

I ate a shiit load of carbs to hit my caloric intake over the last 10 months.

Lots of times it's empty calories as well (soda)

I can't stand sugary things now, I feel poisoned. I tried drinking coke, I can't stand it. Coffee with sugar? Want to hurl.

I can eat other things though. How strange.

Reminiscent of my younger drinking days. tl;dr I cant be in the same room as a bottle of Vincoco.

I'm still sulking here...

Get me a decline bench and come over for a protein shake.

Dropped 4k on gym equipment this weekend:

1x adjustable bench with leg extension
1x pullup bar
1x incline bench with bar
200kg of plates
1x flipin heavy cable crossover machine
1x squat bar

All made of box steel and flippin heavy, didnt even test anything as I was moeg after putting everything together.

The week I wanted to start exercising again and my shoulder is stuffed :( I battle to even open a sliding door

Ok, so I went for a first training session with my new PT at a Cape Town private gym which I respect very much but let me not mention names for now! My PT tested my form and ability on squats and bench press.

Various aspects of my form on both exercises needed correction, and it was great to get insight on things I am doing wrong.

Now the crappy thing is that it appears that I have quite an imbalance in my shoulders / upper back. Possibly due to funny posture whilst spending too much time on the PC. (A while back one of the VA staff had noticed one side of me being quite a bit higher than the other side when i asked him to check my deadlift form). This problem was evident today when I was back squatting and even more so when bench pressing.

So my PT wants me to see his colleague who can assess me and recommend a suitable path forward to addressing my imbalances. His colleague "is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), personal trainer, rehabilitation specialist and educator". Highly recommended by someone else I know. Comes with a hefty price tag to see him I believe, but should hopefully just be a one or two time thing.

For now it seems it would be foolish to get me to push heavy with these imbalances as they are currently. Until I see my PT's colleague, I think we are going to steer clear of barbells and focus on unilateral work using dumbbells where possible.

Has anyone else had a rude awakening like this? Suddenly faced with the realisation that you need to fix muscle imbalances before you can start packing on serious muscle?

In all honest, every person has some sort of imbalance, no single person is perfect symmetrical.

My one shoulder is also lower than the other one, that is from carrying my bag over only one shoulder my whole university career, or when I was carrying my suitcase at school always in the same hand. Either way, this hasn't stopped me to be honest.

There was a perfect article showing why these muscle imbalances are not a problem for going heavy, but I can't find it right now. Basically the guy had a massive muscle imbalance on his back, so much so that you could see his spine curling from left to right from far. It didnt stop him, he still looks bigger than most people I see at Virgin Active.

I need some help please, I got this USN Pure Creatine. Its says to take 1 tsp with 250ml diluted fruit juice. Can I take it with any fruit juice or must it be the ones you dilute with water like Oros?

Normal juice. I think it is to boost your insulin levels

Sounds like Scoliosis O.o
Yeah, my PT said something about it could lead to scoliosis if left unchecked, but also I suppose the imbalance looked like it needed specialist advice from his colleague.

Out of interest, what has your PT said regarding your diet?
My diet... Hmm... we didn't get to that part. If you mean in terms of gaining muscle mass, that's a given, I need to do that!

OK, will see how things go but I am still inclined to get it checked out...

Any PT who's aim is to better you should look at your diet first. Pointless working your ass off if you've got nothing to fuel the change.

I think I should go for blood tests.

I feel chronically ill.

I stepped on the scale today as well, I've lost 8 kilograms.
