2 - 3 months.

I wasn't going very heavy - 120KG Benchpress, 140KG Deadlift.

Hoping to at least be comfortable with 80KG Bench and 100KG Deadlift.

Yeah see how it goes and what the body say's. Just have a good stretch before your workout

Yip don't want to overdo it and pull something.

When I took my looong break i was hoping the gym injuries I picked up would disappear. But it feels like it's coming back because I'm getting the same pinches i felt - not as bad as it used to be and hoping it won't get to that point again.

My 09:30 and 12:30 meals i must have because I'm hungry hungry. The 15:30 i sometimes struggle to eat but then i force feed myself. I sit with my meal and just keep on picking at it. At times it would take me close to a half an hour to finish that meal because of how slow i would eat.

Ya look it takes time to change your metabolism. But once you do, you won't eat just because you want to gain but eat because you are actually hungry.

How often do you eat a day? Start by having 6 meals a day but in quite small portions and as your metabolism increases you adjust your portions.

I am having 6 meals a day funny enough.

My diets like this:

7am: 6 eggs + whey protein

9:30am: Cappucinno

10:30am: Oats with yogurt and peanut butter

2pm: Chicken with veggies / rice

4pm: Mass builder

6pm: Preworkout (1/4 (around 150ml) of my Homemade smoothie with protein and other yum stuff)

7pm: Workout

Post workout: 3/4 smoothie (around 450ml) + Chicken/steak with veggies/rice/pasta

Pre bed: Casein

Even though im having 6 meals my portions arent as big as they should be. Around 1500 calories I think??

But my tummy fat is really bugging me atm... especially with summer coming up.

Like a lot of people, Im in that should I continue bulking and having a tummy or cut down try for abs and go back to being super skinny (I am still skinny atm btw) :(

This weekend we had a little family gathering and my cousin's son was also there.

He finished matric this year and has been contracted by Western Province to play rugby for them from next year.

I was amazed at how huge this lad got since I last saw him a year ago. He looked amazing. Exactly how I would like to look.

That was until his dad proudly told us all that he is using steroids and that he bought it for his son because it is the only way to get ahead these days. According to him more than half of the school players are using these days.

Before I knew about the steroids I felt kinda depro about my looks considering the amount of effort I put in during the last 6 months. But when the bomb dropped I actually felt quite good that I came this far naturally. It helps when family who last saw you a year or more ago can't stop raving about how good you look. Especially after losing 25kg.

What are your feelings about using?

Anybody here used before?
Did you stop when you reached your desired look?
Did you then maintain that look easily?
Cousin says his son has zero side effects from using but I find it difficult to believe. True or false?
If false, what are these side effects?

No I'm not thinking about using. Just curious.

Probably zero visible side effects.

I'm sure that blood tests would most likely tell another story.

As far as I know the biggest issues are liver / kidney damage.

I'm honest. I have absolutely zero knowledge about steroids. And that's the reason for my questions.

He looked truly great. No bulging veins or anything. (Is that even a thing with steroids?)

And regarding liver damage. He doesn't need steroids for that. He drinks more than enough along with his dad to do permanent damage already.

Depending on the course, the only side effect can be the muscle growth. If you do only one cycle of Sustanon, for instance, the gains will be amazing, and the side-effects probably nothing. You have to really abuse it for your hair to start to fall out or growing tits.

EDIT: Oral steroids can be heavy on the liver/kidneys, injectables not so much.

Also, the results are not permanent. Take note of that.

I've never used 'roids before. Thought about it and it has been offered to me, but never took it.

My uncle and a friend done some serious powerlifting in their twenties. He admits now that it did cause some problems, primarily mood swings and in particular increased aggression. Only visible effects according to him were monster pimples on his back and upper arms.

My cousin used as well more recently. He didn't mention any mood changes but he did also experience an excessive amount of monster pimples on his back and shoulders and also said his testicles shrunk a little which is apparently due to your body producing less of its own testosterone and increasing oestrogen production in an attempt to counterbalance the 'roids. He said they reverted back to their normal size when he completed his course.

Liver damage would be something to be concerned about but I'd imagine that would only be an issue if you are on it for a long period.
