Can I rant ? Imma rant. The rage is flowing so strong right now...

So as I said a few posts back, I signed up for the gym for the first time in my life. Local gym. Small. Not many people there in the early hours. Nice place for a beginner to find his way around. I've become so comfortable there in the past few days.

I'm on campus holiday. I paid roughly half my savings for a 3 month contract, planning to kill it this holiday and make some solid progress.

Now my dad comes home and tells me he managed to re-secure a holiday job for me. I don't have any problem with working (I've worked this job twice before), but this messes up my plans so ****ing much.

Work is a 8-5. Gym opens at 6 am, closes at 8 pm. Apparently its *** busy from 6pm to 8pm, so training in the afternoon is going to be a bitch, but it seems like my only option. Training in the morning is heavenly, but thats out now.

I'm so disappointed. I was so excited to be starting this with all the boxes checked. Now rest times will be ****ed (needing to either wake up or sleep really early, either way). Training times are ****ed.

****.

Yea well work out in the evening then, it will be busier but you're already into a routine so just keep it up but later on but I can understand you're annoyed about it. Look on the bright side at least you'll be making some extra cash.

So. My calf raise add-on for my power cage is finished. Tested it late last night and it works perfectly.

Will take a photo of it in action later today when I knock off work. Will also upload that.

For seated use I have a longer pad that goes across the two shoulder pads, allowing me to use it while seated and resting on my knees.

I struggled at the gym this morning with deadlifts, at lighter weight I can handle the bar in a normal grip but as I load it up I start losing my grip around the third rep as I start taking strain. Currently I'm gripping with left and right overhand over the bar but I've heard of guys gripping one hand under & one over if you get what I'm saying. I'm going to give that a try and see if it is any better, alternatively I think you get gloves with a separate strip coming off them to wrap around the bar. Has anyone used these and do they work?

I do the the one over, one under grip and it works a bit better.

But on my final set I still always struggle to hold on with the final 2 or 3 reps.
