I and colleagues are living proof and thousands of other transformation guys with pics as proof.

Ok cool, but, changing your regular reps to that of a high rep will hit muscles in a different way therefore stressing them differently to how they are used to = muscle growth.Your body will eventually get used to these high reps and then plateau. This does work, but eventually it wont anymore and you will have to do something different to stress the muscle again.

That's the beautiful thing of this sport.

You have to shock the muscle, shock the muscle and then shock the muscle some more!

Your body only knows the intensity of the application you place upon it.

Once again, if their plates looks totally different to the ones you can buy, just put them in your gym bag and use them when you need them. Keep the receipt if you must.

I really don't see how this will be an issue, since they don't even have 1.25s.
I would if I hadn't asked first. Now I can't plead ignorance if someone bitches.

Remember, kids, it's easier to apologise later than get permission first.

Hmmm.

IIFYM...well while there are various opinions on such an eating method, I can say that no one can convince me that that nutritional value of 200g sweet potato is the same as the equivalent value amount of double fudge ice cream.

So while I do believe you can have much more latitude in your daily eating than many people think to get results, you can't go full retard with that theory either.

Switched to a 7 day plan and it is intense, I am struggling to complete the allotted exercises each day. Will probably be easier as I go along.

so when do you recover? remember, muscle is built when youre resting, not in the gym - thats where its broken down. i hope youre getting enough sleep!

What is the thinking around this? If you eat clean above maintenance x amount of calories, you will have lean gains, WHEREAS if you eat dirty x amount of calories then you will have a higher fat gain than eating clean?

There is a guy called Paulo Sportz on FB, who doesn't seem to agree with this. He is in the IIFYM camp.

Looking at the work guys like Alan Aragon is doing and sharing, studies show it's calories vs calories out.
Whether the surplus is "clean" food or mcdonalds what he said in a seminar once is that in terms of body composition, a calorie is a calorie. In terms of health, it's another story.

How else do you get an overweight vegan powerlifter... Jason Blaha. He's not anywhere close to being ripped but how much "cleaner" can you eat :) lol

Genes play a much bigger role than people realize. Also, vegans can go mad on potatoes or bread and put on weight. Low GI vs high.

New tact at gym for me. I went last night and aimed for 12 reps on chest press and 8 reps on squats. Weak from only averaging once a week (at best) during 2014.
