Yea, The effects are horrendous... There is this one chick who used steroids, and her vocals sounds like a man! at the beginning of the year you could hear a female voice but DAMN mtf! Anyhoo, the trainer say's once you get these side affects you can never go back to your body's original state.

I wonder if the women who use the steroids, are able to see the effect it has on their bodies, or do they find it alluring somehow ??

There is a trainer in my gym, not sure if she uses steroids or is her physique just the result of real intensive exercise, but wow! She is extremely muscular, much too much to have any trace of femininity left.

It's nice to have a firm and toned body, but she is way beyond that - it's pure muscle and large too!

Anybody know about this?

Um.... seriously? That sort of thing has been going on since I was in school 14yrs ago.

Yea its pretty normal for rugby playing schools, I know KES is a perfect example, and steroids are expensive, so either the parents are knowingly buying them or the school is providing.. I wouldnt be surprised if the school was sponsoring it

If you look at certain cycles, its no more expensive than decent whey protein...

If you include everything? PCT etc?

I'm not sure about that, decent whey goes for about R600 for +- months supply

And even if it does cost around the same as decent whey, you still need to buy whey on top of the juice, just because you're on juice doesn't mean you can ignore nutrition

Good point - but a cycle is not really a monthly thing, where Whey is so if you take a years supply of Whey at R7200... expensive past-time this :p

Yeah
Its not that expensive if you order your supplements from the US and split the shipping with someone, I used to do that but he's since lost interest in training, I'm not sure how I'm going to progress, but I was paying R1400 for 2KG's of ON whey/cassein and universal m-stack, with shipping..
the cassein lasts 2 months, since you only take 1 serving a day.. it also means your whey lasts longer if you used to take it before bed.. so over all I guess it balances out, because the 72 servings of whey that you would've taken, are being replaced by cassein.. cassein and whey costs the same from overseas stores, its only dischem etc that robs us

(if anyone in JHB is interested in ordering online and splitting the shipping costs, send me a pm;))

Ah - ok - I must look into that, I'm in Cape Town though :p

Out of interest, do you have any problems importing? Who do you use?

I use **** , and haven't had any issues
bodybuilding.com is a joke, and the sooner their SA clients dump them the better (in an email from them they justified accepting western union, by saying they have plenty SA customers and no ones complained, well there must be a lot of suckers out there), its unbelievable that in 2011 they still refuse to accept credit cards or even paypal from south africa, they accept from zim, but not us, due to 'fraud'.. the only way to order from them is via western union, which charges about R300+- for a transfer.. I cant believe people actually pay that..
anyway, A1's service is tops, only downside is they just use priority mail, no courier services, so its a gamble as to whether your stuff actually arrives, however I've ordered about 3 or 4 times from them and everything has arrived in tact
and 25% seems to be the standard charge from customs

I know some of the big rugby schools supply the stuff to players.

My ex's brother told me how they(1st rugby team) would go to the principals office and get the stuff. I was shocked when I heard teachers are doing that.

Anyone have any experience with what everyone is telling me is tennis elbow - although I can twist open bottles, squeeze a tennis ball, etc without any pain - its only when I lift a dumbell, etc palm up that my forearm/elbow hurts.... hammer curls and its not so bad. I've gone to a physio, had needles stuck in me, taken time off, etc... it doesn't go away...since December.... I can't curl more than 22kg dumbells without my arm feeling like its being ripped off by a bear.
Ouch! If u think acupuncture might help, then go to a proper acupuncturist! Not some western medicine doc that did only a 2 week course... I gather u probably willing to try anything at this point to fix the problem?

What she did worked for where it was sore... the pain shifted elsewhere... its now more on the upper-side elbow joint - not where she poked me :p Thing is, I still don't think its tennis elbow, as it only hurts with certain eercises and motions, e.g. lifting the dumbbells for shoulder presses hurts, etc, etc...

It does seem like its getting better - but I'm no longer interested in taking off gym... so just gritting my teeth and bearing it where necessary - and obviously working with exercises that I know don't hurt too much.

Ah - thanks - just looking into how much ordering from overseas will save.

EDIT: Just noticed you did mention that - sorry.
