I get to 75 alright (5,5,5,5,...), then start to wane and manage 2 -3 at a time, last time I attempted 100 was in Feb, I felt sick afterwards as well but came right after about an hour.
Currently weight in at 77kg.

I doubt I'll make 100 again anytime soon this year.

My 40kg sandbag arrived yesterday, paid R300 for it, well built and even came with handles all over the place, now to raid my kids sandpit!

Wow that's crazy doing so many sets, you must have damn strong back muscles.
Why does a guy who are already married and have kids, want to build more muscles?
Haha, tbh I always admire that type of guy in the gym. Twice my age, twice my size, half of the amount of free time I do. xD
You build muscle to pick up women? Thats the wrong way to go about it, just saying :P

I like to build muscle for myself, if the women like it, bonus.
tbh I don't really know why I started. I mean, getting compliments is nice, but I can't really pin down any reasons. I guess it's just something I took an interest in over time.

Stress relief is a good enough reason - besides the obvious other health reasons.

not really, loads of people do it purely because of aesthetic reasons, which makes picking up the ladies easier. there's no wrong or right way

Goes back to exactly what I asked. Doing it for "aesthetic reasons, which makes pickup up the ladies easier" is the same as "building muscle to pick up ladies".

It is my opinion, that is the wrong way to pick up ladies. It is far easier to pickup ladies, by just learning how to love picking them up (not physically) than doing something else thinking it will help you make it easier to pick up ladies. Unless you want to physically pick them up, then sure go build muscle :P

can u b!tches go debate somewhere else and the topic at hand be resumed? (sounds like the little b!tches thread in here)

the 'topic at hand' was why we workout? unless i missed something @_@

So breakfast has me eating toasted bread with ham, cheese, egg and butter on. Two of those, then I'll chug the whey protein (100 g /400ml milk) and off to gym.

Fresh Milk or the UHT stuff?

Uhm, the kind that comes in bags?

I have to buy the one in containers UHT 2%, I tried buying milk in bags but I shop for week in advance.
I read somewhere UHT is not very good for us.

Does 20kg plates feel heavier than 15+5 plates to anyone?

I tried 100 today with 4 20kg plates and the bar and failed harder than that time I tried 110kg.

If I do 100 with 15+10+5 on each side it feels a lot lighter.

Also, I don't like the way people look at me when I put on 100kg, well actually I don't mind, it just makes me nervous. :o

Forever socially awkward.

That bothers you? Interesting. I couldn't care less what other people think, rather have them look and if you get stuck they can help instead of everyone minding their own business, and like the one time, some unlucky guy had 100kg fall on his neck, he died that day. So I dunno, rather let people look and hope they will help if need be, instead of everyone go the zombie route and people die next to you.

Damn that's bad, you have a good point though! Once a guy did try to spot me when I was going for my 5th rep on 85kg, but I got it up before he reached me lol, just saw him out of the corner of my eye.

I did actually get stuck under the bar once when I first started lifting, went for 60kg (my bodyweight at the time) and failed, I luckily watched a video on how to roll the bar off of me and then deadlift it down, so I did that.

idk if I can manage that with 100kg on though.

I'm pretty anti social at my gym though.

As for the look I get, it's kind like they're going, 'nice that guys gonna bench 100kg'. Then I feel like I should be repping out 8 reps clean, when I'm actually going for a 1RM.

Also, want your opinions on this

I added Incline Chest Press with DB's to my routine, but now my other lifts suffer as a result.
For example, today I did 22.5kg DB's Incline, but after I could only do 30kg on Skullcrushers cause my Triceps were fried after Flat Bench and Incline Bench.

The same applied to Rope Pulldowns, couldn't even reach my PR, let alone surpass it.

Obviously what you do before hand affects subsequent lifts.

I even found swimming the evening before had a signification impact on my chest/shoulder workout days.
