Completed total of 125 pull-ups on Saturday my usual ,5,5,5,..... It really works your core and I'm seeing a six pack coming, I reckon if I hone in the diet better and cut out beer I might drop that extra bit.
Wrist still hurts on pushing exercises and I doubt any stress on the wrist is helping but I'm addicted to training and will have over 3 weeks in December to heal.

125 pull-ups...woah, pretty awesome.

I did some discovery wellness day this weekend, and in the fitness part one of the things they make you do is to see how many push-ups you can do in 60 seconds. Managed to rambo to 45 which I guess is not too bad. 1st 30 was easy, could easily manage 1 per second, then after 30 its when muscles start getting tired, not to mention I did do chest the day before.

They made us do this at college, I didn't do too hot, but one boxer in our class managed 67.

I usually see how many push ups I can do til failure at the end of my chest day, just to make sure I worked hard enough, so it's a good exercise!

Busted out another 115 pullups yesterday, I'm now focusing on form and making sure chin over bar, hold then drop slowly as apposed to trying to do as many as possible, definitely getting stronger as I was exhausted yesterday from being up most of the night with sick kid.

A tad annoyed at myself for not starting a pullup day sooner.

Yeah so I was going to go to chest today (bench press mainly), but a buddy called for beers after work. So that's that, then. :o

Tygervalley VA doesn't have a dip bar either anymore.
Durbanville VA still has all the old school stuff you would expect.
Can;t remember if the VA at Wembley (Gardens) have a dip bar, didn't see one there last time I checked.

Yeah Durbanville is my preferred gym now. Haven't been to Tygervalley since the renovations.

my photo editing skils suck

anyways, that was a few months back, I can clearly see I've made some gains :D Which is awesome, cause I felt the last few months like I've been looking the same.

But now that I analyze it, my triceps and chest made some progress.

20kg gain since January
If you start cutting now you are going to loose half of that weight in order to show your abs.Think about that, you are going to loose what you worked so hard to put on.My opinion is for you to keep bulking and start cutting in Aug next year.
I've been in this exact situation, which is why i no longer go on bulking and cutting cycles, like to keep adding clean muscle mass at a rate of 3-4kg a year(max 5kg if your genetics allow for it!).But you need to find something that will work for you, if you like loosing 10 kgs then gaining 20 then loosing 15 etc go for it, but frm experience, this is a bad thing to do to yourself, both physically and mentally.

Makes sense! I guess one thing that has been motivating me to cut is that eating so much food is hard lol, I'm naturally not a big eater, but I'm sure I can take it more seriously!

As for the mental aspect, I've not experienced it myself, but it makes sense, especially when dealing with the strength loss of rapid weight loss.

Felt like I could go for a second rep on 100kg today, but I didn't want to risk it, since I never have a spotter.

Btw, anyone know of any good accessory lifts for the bench press? I want to bench 105 for 1 rep by the 20th of November.

My current routine is (just gonna rough draft it) Chest/Tri

flat bench
incline DB bench
Machine cable Flies
Skullcrushers
Rope Pulldowns
push ups till failure/tricep extensions

Same, im not a big eater, and eating all that food every 3 hours just make me feel sick...

I dont mean to sound disrespectful, but why are you doing the 1 rep max thing?
On any other exercise besides bench and squats i would say go for it, but if you dont have a regular spotter..eish...you have never torn a tendon before huh ? :)

Here is mine, i rate you should move to the intermediate split because it will allow you to push those muscle way harder because you are not indirectly working the muscle that you plan on working out next(lol that sounds weird)

My beginner split (push pull)
day 1 push - chest, shoulder,tri's
day 2 pull - back ,bi's
day 3 legs and abs

Intermediate (Coupling big muscle with small NON opposing muscle)
day 1 Chest,Bi's
day 2 Back,tri's
day 3 legs (quads)
day 4 calves and abs and shoulders

This split will allow you to push harder, and you will notice the new gains!, but i suggest swopping days 3 and 1.

tfw gym has no dip bar anymore  would doing them between two benches work?
what kind of grip? And how would it help?

I don't have friends at the gym lol, so I never have a spotter. So far I've been okay, I just love strength training!

I'm surprised no one mentioned OHP

Hoooh, now I see, I always heard people using the terms push and pull day, but never really understood it. I think I'll try it.

Thanks :D
