I am struggling to build muscle, made tremendous gains in strenght, protein intake is about 120g per day, age, 40's, had my testosterone levels checked, normal.
Body fat, about 15.5%.
Weight 74 kg
Any suggestions to grow decent muscle.

Jip. The key really is to eat more.

You can lift all the weights in the world but if you don't eat enough, muscles won't grow.

And remember that it takes time so you have to be consistent. I only weigh and take measurements once a month now.

Thanks for the replies. Eat more without gaining fat, is this possible?

Well, you need to calorie count and work out what your surplus should be.

I've never done calorie counting to work out my surplus hence its a guessing game and I'm in the same boat as you :o

Physio says i got major imbalance in my shoulders which will have to be rectified. Even if i didn't hurt myself in March it was bound to happen eventually due to the imbalance.

Looks like there will be a few follow up sessions.

Physio prescribing yoga to fix my mobility issues in my neck and shoulders. Time to go on a cut if i cant push too much at gym :(

I've hurt both my shoulders, not super serious though. One was an impingement that was pretty bad, physio also spinned some story, similar to yours. Second time I had issues in my other shoulder I saved myself the money and fixed it myself by taking it easy with BP/OHP & doing these:

Thanks, will have to view the vid at home. I will make pulling exercises a priority from now on and pushing will have to take a back seat! For now while I'm injured I've found deadlifts, squats, biceps and triceps to be non-aggravating. Will try adding the low row machine to this list.

I suppose the lesson to be learnt is if your biomechanics are screwed you won't get very far in terms of building muscle :(

This letter informs you, that your 3000 Chrome Coins will expire soon.
3000 Chrome Coins will expire after 7 day(s)

Thank you again, Chrome Supplements & Accessories
What does one do with these Chrome coins? I see no explanation on their website.

When you place an order, you can exchange them for credit. There is a link in the left called Reward Points or something that gives an explanation.

1000 Points = R2
So you have a while R6 to spend

Thanks CodeMaster :)

Damn I'm like the walking wounded now, tweaked my right knee doing squats. Curse my dodgy knees. My form is probably not quite right or I went to heavy for my level of conditioning :( THe list of exercises I can actually do is ever decreasing!

I think your body really needs a break...

My body needs balance and I need to not push it hard in areas where it's not conditioned for said activity.

So, plan of action is to work on my imbalances, get more into stretching (maybe try some yoga), do the activities that aren't giving me grief and take it easy on those that are.

Right now it seems that doing more than 2 thirds of bodyweight for back squats is asking for trouble. Knees don't feel lekker.
Deadlifts I will keep at 115% of bodyweight. Add to that anything that won't aggravate my shoulder issue.

Does anybody have experience with a pinched nerve? I got one 2 weeks ago while doing squats (wasn't too heavy thankfully) and at first I could hardly move without pain, then it subsided after a few days but I still feel a little pain if I move my torso (both sideways and forward/backward).

Maybe you should go see a doctor of some description.

I used to have that problem from being over weight. Only thing the doctors did after the xray was to tell to focus building my back muscles. So I did that and the problem went away.
