Yip, think I'm going to take one early morning and one an hour before my session.

On researching I see many guys mass cook their chicken on weekends and Tupperware the lot for during the week, was thinking about buying a couple kilos and braaing them, then freezing.

Can't imagine anything worse than frozen chicken breasts reheated :p

Heh, well I don't know achievements and what not points to keep going to Gym, I go because I like it, and like seeing the improvements on myself. The logging is for record purposes only, for like when you make a post and someone wants a quick history to be able to see what you have been doing, so they can actually give you sound advice. And for that purpose, gymwolf suits me, because of the fact I can use my phone anywhere anytime to add the workouts.

Quick question, I have been gymming seriously for about a month now (weight training) and I am looking for a supplement to help to recovery and growth a bit. I did a bit of reading and I am considering to get SSN Anabolic Muscle Builder. Any comments on this product? This was recommended by one of my gym buddies.

I see on many of the reviews that the guys got a bit of flab while using this. I have a fairly healthy diet and try to eat my 5 fruits and veg a day but as a bachelor in the IT field I dont always have the time, but I do try very hard.

I am not aiming to look like a lumberjack but would like to get a bit bigger and lose some weight. n00b question, should I worry about losing weight while trying to build muscle? We normally have one good cardio session a week, this enough?

It is also worth mentioning that I have a bit of a blood pressure problem so I need to be careful with the products I use.

:EDIT: It seems that this product will only make me fatter :o any suggestions on other products?

What supps are you currently taking?
From replies here and most places people say the same thing, eat more...I started today by adding chicken and tuna to my 8am - 4pm schedule.

Nice site to order supps, maybe take a look at pre and after workout.

Currently using USN Muscle fuel STS.

I got a nice breakfast recipe with my bodybuilding.com order (shakers and a few other things) - two LARGE shakers from the US were cheaper buying one similiar USN item here.

Protein pancakes (added quantities, they just listed ingredients)
4x egg whites
1x scoop protein (Ondier's unflavoured isolate in my case)
Mix well, make like pancakes.

Then
Smear with around a teaspoon of peanut butter for each pancake
Put on some sliced banana's.

Aren't potatoes a no-no? I try to avoid them as far as possible.

Yip, apparently sweet potatoes are ok?

I'll try sweet next time, didnt want to change recipe too much and spoil everything, the oil can be left out as it made no difference to me, I also baked them instead of frying.

Anyone checked the nutritional info on a bottle of peanut butter lately? My missus bought us some generic brand, not sure if labels nutrition differs greatly. I was shocked to see how many kilojoules and how little protein peanut butter contains.

I was subbing my 9:30AM chicken fillet with a peanut butter sarmee. Not any more.

High or Low blood pressure problem?

Also, if high, is it both systolic and diastolic that is high, or only systolic.
Was it a problem before you started with gym, or only after starting serious workouts?

If its only systolic that is high, you really have nothing to worry about, that is diastolic is still below 90.

I for example have 147/81 or 135/74 most of the time, depending on whether I worked out the day or not. Basically I know I have no worry, because the moment you don;t have fat anymore on your upper-arms, or very little, the muscle has a tendancy to inflate the systolic value (147 or 135 in my case). I was at the doctor after seeing this the first time after a Discovery wellness day, and he was more than fine with it.

Now if you truly do have high blood pressure, stay away from caffeine products like jack3d ect.

Finally, how regularly do you actually take readings?

Random question,I have low blood pressure hence why they didn't let me donate blood :( do you know if this can affect my workouts?

You'll feel dizzy (like you're going to faint).... especially when doing squats ... I used to have low blood pressure, apparently not any-more.

I think low blood pressure is only really a problem if you get obese and do zero exercise. I think, if you keep doing regular exercise and workouts, it will actually be good for your low blood pressure. This is however only my opinion, I could by highly wrong, but I think you should be cautious of over sleeping and not doing enough exercise.

So exercise is good, and make sure you get in enough fluids, for you it would be even more important than for someone without low blood pressure doing exercise, so basically you have 2 reasons to keep your water intake high enough as opposed to just keeping hydrated. Apparently alcohol is also bad for someone with low blood pressure problems.

Again, I am no doctor, keep that in mind.

Was ready for hectic session when I got home yesterday but my 1 yr had other plans and was in garage with me :)

Anyway he was busy on the other-side of garage playing with something sticky, decided to start my usual chest routine with incline bench but was soon interrupted before I could finish properly.

I had a barbell with 15kg plates on either side lying on the floor, got down and did push ups from the bar , it was raised from the floor, did about 5 sets each to failure, my triceps where bust when I was done.
Today my upper chest, lower neck area is sore....the good sore where you know you worked something, who would of thought.
