You're a big guy though hey? 5000 calories of clean food must kill the wallet! I'm on just over 3000 on lifting days and drop to 2500 or sometimes less with lower carbs on off days. That already costs me a crapload on chicken, steak and shakes. It's a healthy hobby and at least I'm not spending it on booze so its worth it.

Yeh - sitting at 95kg now and 14% body fat (1.87m) - but I'm tired of weight loss. I've slowly been adding carbs back into my diet, and should be good to go by the end of the month.

My maximum calories for the entire year has been 2600 - the last three months has been around 2300 with no carbs. Even with this, our grocery bill (for two) is around R6000 without supplements.

R-E-A-L-L-Y looking forward to hitting the gym mid October with the ramped up food, its been tough making zero progress, in fact - I've lost quite a bit of strength this year - end of the month I go on honeymoon for two weeks, so when I come back, my body will be fully rested.

I'm also doing quite a bit of cardio - I want to be able to run 5km in under 20min by the end of next year, and deadlift over 300kg. Those are my targets, I don't have squat or bench target, squat, my knees give me grieve, and my hip is buggered. Bench, if I skip a work out or two, I loose a ton of strength, so sorta given up making decent gains.

Military press with 2x45Kg dumbells for 8 reps at 83KG bodyweight-no spot. 2 weeks ago did 2x55Kg dumbells incline benchpress for 6, not counting first spotted rep. Don't like pressing barbells-past injuries. Squat is not my strong point. I do 150Kg for 8 reps but I can't do many sets and only squat every 2 weeks because of joint pain. That's my current stats, I've been stronger when I was on big carb bulks. I don't have genetics to get both huge and ripped so I focus on strength training. Love it!
Fair enough, those are pretty decent weights. Not sure how much I can do with dumbbells, I only use them on assistance/accessory exercises, my main lifts are all still with barbells.

Used to have pain at the start in both shoulders and knees, but nowadays the only problem I have is energy, and err sometimes I feel the ribbs that were cracked /sigh

I basically on use whey when I really don't feel like comping tuna after a workout :D

If I had to eat tuna after a workout  I struggle enough with my current shake concoction of whey, oats and dextrose... and a few other things.

What "muscle" would you guys exercise after Dead-Lift days and what to stay away from until day 3 at least.
Can I go from Deadlift on Mondays to chest on Tuesdays?

I currently do that. I'd avoid squats after deadlifts.

I figured I' should stay away from shoulders and legs until Wednesday at least.
So will carry on with chest today.
Any of you familiar with reverse grip bench press, I tried it last week but was very uncomfortable?

I use it on my heaviest sets...which are far from what you are doing. All I know is, the arm where you reverse the grip, be damn sure to make sure that arm is locked, unless you want to work out your bicep and take a chance of injuring the bicep :P (ie. you don't want to tore the bicep, recovery will be painful and take a long time)

The other advice I am sure you have read is, reverse the arm that is not your dominant arm, so I am dominant right, so I reverse the grip on my left arm.

Other than that, I'd say reverse grip is pretty much the same as double-overhand grip. You should still take time to set up correctly, make sure both arms are gripping evenly wide ect, and that your technique is still as close as possible to perfect.

WE talking about Bench press here or Deadlift?

From all the articles and videos I have seen both hands are reversed?

I think he's talking about deadlift.

I do pretty standard exercises, no odd stuff - so can't help with them :p

I considered it once before, 30minutes of research later I was like "Faaaaaaaak that *****":wtf::D
Well I can show you some interesting Gyno pictures...
You have to realize, as with everything in life, the more you could potentially gain, the bigger the risks. Also, keep in mind, there are very good methods to manage risk, as in, prevent it, but be prepared as well, in case it does hit you. Which is what I think is important, when you do something like this, you do it with a doctor that monitor you through the whole process and help you manage everything, in which case you will have nothing to worry about.

Excuse my ignorance, but how to you get a doctor to monitor you while taking illegal substances? Surely a professional would not agree to this, unless ofcourse you have a prescription and need it for medical/recovery purposes

He could gladly monitor you, as long as he is not the source of the substances ;)
