Of their 5 million or so population, how many of them are actually working and paying tax? Could they still sustain their infrastructure and social services?

Wrong thread, but yes. Scotland is a sovereign state and already has its own parliament, laws, education system, agriculture, whisky, oil etc. As I said, it’s all about whether they want to, not if they can.
