Ironic, considering a large number of those who voted Remain would rather be off at some random protest than actually making an living.

Tongue out of cheek, though, similar to how Trump became the US president, it was the often ignored, blue collar, hard working, council estate dwellers who got Leave over the finish line, I reckon.

The 3 million or so people claiming unemployment benefits, you mean? Or pensioners and disabled people who get government grants?

He's not attempting to undermine a democratic mandate. Don't be foolish. He wants another referendum so it's still democratic. In fact, given the amount of information that has become available only after the vote it would be dereliction to democracy not to have another vote.

The Leading Brexiteer recently ridiculed the idea of the UK staying in the single market and customs union after Brexit, joining other Eurosceptics calling for a “clean” separation with the EU so the UK has the freedom to strike new trade deals.

Moves to create barriers to trade with the EU would force UK companies to strike up deals elsewhere, directly profiting companies backing the emerging markets.

Democracy is not the act of re-voting until you get the result you wanted. There was a referendum, it has an outcome, end of story.

I also seem to recall them rallying against mega wealthy individuals influencing politics with their billions. Again this was long ago though.

You mean like all those outcomes of Obama's that Trump reversed when he got into office...? Outcomes in democracy are seldom permanent.

If the will of the people now is different to what it was then, going through with a lengthy and costly process that people have since changed their minds about seems a bit silly..

We're talking about a vote here, just like the US won't have another presidential election until 2020, the deluded bremoaners should expect not to have another referendum until brexit at least has been enacted.

Brexit referendums every 6 months because people change their minds, new information comes to light and stuff.

While we're at it: better reduce the maximum allowable presidential term to 6 months as well. People might've changed their minds.
