Busy making cannabutter in a glass saucepan. Not liking the bubbling too much and it's already at the lowest setting so going to place it in a pot of water to complete the cooking process.

Making brownies later after the water is extracted from the butter.

Apparently bubbling is a sign it's too hot. I used a digital thermometer with my olive oil and it was just over 110 degrees with the plate on 1, no bubbling. Don't forget to make the tea with what's left over after straining the butter. The tea is a one way ticket to purgatory if you take to much of it, be careful :D

This stove is too hot even at 1 so had to put it in a pot with water on 3.

Dammit, threw away the leftover.

And how much butter? I used 200g butter with 20g bud. I think I might need to give the butter away.
Work out the dosage per g on the butter, a gram will probably work great and mix it with whatever you eat for a little daily work medication or whatever needs be. Just test the dosage at home before you have some at work though because it runs like a freight train for hours if you get it wrong...

If you don't have one get one of those fong kong digital jewellers scales, cost around R150. They work great for these purposes so you can get the dose very accurate.

Nah I dont really care about dose, I just want to laugh my empty balls off

Sometimes when i buy different strains of weed from different dealers, some of them have the same smell, even though they are different in looks and genetics. It is a hectic smell, as if the weed has been dipped in some type of chemical. My order arrived from Trichoma today, and the white widow tastes like the LSD strain they used to sell. It has an intense smell. I am not sure if this is strain-specific, but im thinking not, because i bought cheese from another dealer in the past that also had the exact same smell as this, even though I could smell and taste the cheese underneath. Trichomas blue cheese and strawberry banana never had that dipped smell/taste. It was perfect! So, am i still extremely uneducated, or have other people noticed this too? Is it perhaps a chemical to make the weed last longer? Either way, the white widow looks beautiful. And im feeling beautiful too. But im also a bit paranoid because of this smell. o_O

I know exactly the smell you're talking about and I've always wondered about it myself. I almost always get the smell with the more rural low-cost weed. I've always wondered if it isn't, like... some kind of mustiness that develops due to poor curing and transport practices. I know that a lot of this weed isn't dried for long enough and then gets squashed up into the smallest packages possible when transported. A lot of the time I don't think it actually gets a chance to cure. IIRC that yucky skunk that 420m shovels into all of its specials had the smell when I had it.

I usually buy my weed from a local guy who has this amazing outdoor weed grown by a couple who are passionate about they're doing and really care about their plants and it never, ever has this smell in spite of them growing a variety of strains. He ran out of stock this weekend so I bought some cheaper stuff from another lady and it's got that weird smell. When I tried vaping it made me gag so I've decided to do some water curing on it. Not my favourite way to cure bud since it pretty much strips the flavour out - but that's only a problem if you've got a nice flavour to start with.

Granted I could be totally wrong on the cause of the smell - just my theory.

Regarding strong smell of weed -my newly picked poison - the smell is so strong and perfume like - its actually difficult to take an inhale on it in the jar - without being overpowered by it. Smells artificial but I know its not.

Anyone else see the new additions to kk's menu? Thinking of procuring some the ice cream cake. Looks amazing....

Is that a gas stove? Ours also boils whatever is on there on the lowest setting. We got cheap simmer plates from our local gas place and that works nicely to keep whatever you've got one the stove from boiling. Won't work for electric stoves though.

It's an electric stove. Alternative is to double boil so not too bad.
