Have on of these lying around at home, tried it a few years ago but might give it another bash once I've got some decent flower. IMG_20200312_084054.jpg

Finally got a top airflow cap and titanium bucket coil for my Saionara. This thing hits so nice!

Previous setup was a stainless steel wick on top of a normal donut coil in the Saionara. That also worked really well, but the bucket should be much easier to keep clean and thus better for flavor.

If they want my attention they can post a bud pic alongside a note with the date and howzitbud or something. Otherwise it's just random pic that means nothing.
Bro I was sharing something they sent to me. If you want I can direct you to them. Was super stoked to see this level of bud coming through though, thats why I shared it after everyone complaining about whats out there

as @saor said "If they want my attention they can post a bud pic alongside a note with the date and howzitbud or something. Otherwise it's just random pic that means nothing. "

Thinking about dipping my toes into the vape market since I'll probably be holed up quite a while (and just broke my 3rd herb bowl).

Anyone got any recommendations, best retailer? pen? dab or liquid? any potential 4/20 specials coming up?

Help pls!

I personally prefer vaping dry herb...it's the closest you get to smoking, without the negative effects of inhaling all that ****....bonus is that, scientifically speaking, it's the most efficient way to consume cannabis. And you don't have to hunt for your favourite strain in liquid or rosin form. Just buy your flower like you do now, and instead of rolling, you just drop it in the vape :)

For retailer, I've been buying my herb vapes from vapestore.co.za for years now...best service and selection by far. They stock a lot of high end devices, but they do have a more affordable options.

Personally, I've got a VIE vaporizer (R966), and a PAX 3 (R3950). The Pax is definitely a superior product, and I use it daily, but it's hard to fault the VIE based on how much cheaper it is, and the fact that it vapes very well.

The Pax has a 10 year warranty, so it's a better buy once you've decided you like vaping dry herb :)

Unfortunately I've very little experience with the other low end devices, but on the higher end I have also used the Crafty and the Davinci IQ, both are amazing products. If you find something in your price range on the store, a quick online search should give you all the information you need.

Happy vaping!

I dunno hey, I went down the vape trail for a year or 2 on and off. Still have my volcano and my portable which I seldom use. I found I used way more bud and also its a different stoned, like somethings missing.

I use about 50% less than when I smoke. And the "something missing" is likely due to the fact that different temps vapourize different things - fire is hot enough to get all the terps, whilst on normal settings most vapourizers don't quite hit those highs...with a decent device you can usually push it to max temp, which is virtually indistinguishable from smoking in my experience.

In the end I think it depends on what you want from your high, and every one likes it their own way - vaping is definitely worth a try for most people, but I'm sure there are those who will prefer smoking in the end as I prefer vaping.

Here is a guide to the temps at which various elements vapourizes. You can play around with the temps and get a different experience from a single strain at different temps (not all of them good, but sometimes quite surprising).

Ive experienced the following:

Can bongs
Apple bongs
Glass, ceramic and plastic bongs
Joints
Edibles
Dabs
THC Distillate Vape
And lastly..Dry Herb vape.

Dry herb vape I had the Grenco Snoop Dogg one, not the cheapest one, the one that has Army Design. It was nice to use when outdoors, driving and only ever gave a slight buzz ( i only smoke AAA Indoor). The Battery does not last, it gets super clogged and resin'ish. And the high is disappointing. This was probably the most underwhelming way of consuming the product for recreational purposes.

However you do definitely use a lot less herb, and can reuse it a lot of the time. I assume the high and usage experiencing must be better with higher quality product.

I have the same vape pen Nibiru, and must say I ended up smoking the herb more often than vaping as I never really got much out of it.

Have vaped off a friends machine though which has been substantially better.

Have also vaped from from another friends pen (which I assume had some kind of liquid cartridge) which after 3-4 puffs had me buzzing.

Have some doubts about going the dry-herb vape route but that might just be due to Snoop Dogg's poor product.

If all else fails get a dynavape all the fun of vaping with non of the techy nonsense

Does anyone know of anyone reliable in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs area who does dry vape repairs (including battery replacements)?

Vapestore in Noordhoek does battery replacements and basic repairs of some models that they stock, if that's not too far. (They investigated repairing a Crafty for me. Although unable to repair it in the end, they did mention when I brought it to them that if it was the battery they could replace it) https://vapestore.co.za/

I'm a J smoker but the review that was done on the HowzitBud vape was quite good

I wrote that review and I was on my way to provide yet another update. The battery on the disposable vape died. The cartridge is a third to half full. I contacted the HowzitBud support line. Their response: "You can order the normal rechargeable vape".

UPDATE: HowzitBud has sorted this out. It took a little while due to the lockdown but they went the extra mile here.
