The Cannabis Thread

Not a fan of Shadow Juice, spent a packet on it, it seems dank but could never get any sort of effect even though I tried several vapes. Will definitely order those cookies as they look like a steal.

Feel this thread needs a sticky post with all the best places :)

I got mine from Facebook, Renchi Medical Suppliers or something like that.
I did not enjoy it to be honest. It was R250 for 250ml. The Honey was milky and you know that taste you get when smoking that "dry herb vaporiser", somehow that pure clean weed taste (which I despise) is infused with the honey.
Look obviously the honey makes it taste much better, I mean its honey :p, but its just not for me. It just doesnt taste that good. But this is all my personal opinion. Maybe you guys love it :p

Ah. I'm going to order some of shadow's honey. R430 for 100ml. They said test results will be up on the site soon

I didn't like shadow's old juice either, but they have reformulated as I said earlier. Love their R1200 dab wax though

Yeah but after dropping 500+ on a bottle I found getting capsules a much better and more cost effective alternative. I've been using https://cannabiscaps.co.za and their service and product is great but I feel it might be on the pricey side, so I'm going to try a few other sites mentioned in thread to give them a bash.

Ye, I roughly went with 20 drops = 1 cookie.

A bottle of 20ml is R900. Add R400 for the potency increase. 20ml should give you roughly 400 drops.
So in my case, R1,300 for 20ml = 20 sessions at R65 a session.

I am hoping if I do it all at once I can get away with 10 drops, or 15 at a push. This would drop my per session cost, and along with the discrete and convenient way of using it - it could be a winner.

You should give RSO a shot. Its expensive but it last very long. You use the the amount of about 2 rice korreltjies, which hits you like probably around 4 J's. Unfortunately my "guy" cant get it anymore.

Going by your price estimations, I would say the cookies is the best value for money. @ R65 = 6 cookies. I'm actually real chuffed with these cookies.

Ordered from both Shadow & Bobby this morning. Both of them have already shipped. Nice to see Bobby has stepped up his game.

Agree, cookies are best value for money.

Only problem is potential weight gain. At 40 to 50 cookies a week - plus the munchies after. Could get hectic. MTB gonna have to work overtime to keep up.

lol... they caused me to gain quite a bit of weight! When I start eating I cannot stop and usually end up eating until my stomach hurts.

This is an interesting article:

Hypothalamic POMC neurons promote cannabinoid-induced feeding
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4496586/

There is a part that talks about Naloxone blocking cannabinoid-induced feeding. I happened to have some Naltrexone which is another opioid antagonist. I'm wondering if it would also reduce the munchies like Naloxone does. A quick google shows me this:

Opioid antagonism enhances marijuana's effects in heavy marijuana smokers
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20490465

CONCLUSIONS:
In heavy marijuana smokers opioid-receptor blockade enhanced the subjective and cardiovascular effects of marijuana, suggesting that endogenous opioids dampen cannabinoid effects in this population. These findings demonstrate that a broad range of clinically used doses of naltrexone potentially increases the abuse liability and cardiovascular risks of cannabinoids.

Interaction between naltrexone and oral THC in heavy marijuana smokers
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12491025

Pretreatment with naltrexone significantly increased many of the "positive" subjective effects of oral THC (30 mg) e.g. ratings of Good Drug Effect and Capsule Liking. Naltrexone tended to increase the reinforcing effects of oral THC (30 mg), as indicated by performance in a drug choice test. Naltrexone did not alter plasma THC levels

Will be an interesting experiment!

Earlier I had said that CBN tincture did not help with my insomnia... Turns out that the microdose of 1 to 2 drops that was recommended to me was not enough. Last night I took 10 drops and fell asleep quickly. This morning I felt utterly zonked, forgetting what I was doing, and generally feeling like I'm still asleep. My brain still does not feel 100% in gear yet.

I held the drops under my tongue for about 10 minutes and it seemed to kick in pretty quickly. I need to try a large dose again cause I'd rather use this than reach for a sleeping tablet. It was the Icharos CBN from MCDSA.

I read somewhere thats the problem with weed. Many people use it to sleep easier and it works without a single doubt. But ever noticed you don't really dream when you have used THC?. So apparently its pretty bad for sleep as it deprives us from REM sleep which is responsible for dreaming and feeling refreshed when waking up the next morning, without this you will wake up tired.

I still dream on cannabis, but I have read a lot about sleep not being as restful. It's certainly better than sleeping pills for me... I've ordered an Oura ring and will report back on my experiments with sleep quality on cannabis and off. Oura's sleep tracking is pretty good... it measures heart rate, pulse strength, heart rate variability, body temperature, and movement.

100%.This happens to me.If I stop for a day then I go back to having really vivid dreams.

Wow that ring is a nice piece of kit. Thanks, now I have to talk myself out of ordering one!

Is it really worth using then if you're feeling so zonked the next morning? Sounds like your brain feels even more tired using the tincture than if you just suffered the bit of insomnia without taking anything.

Haha. I'll let you know what it's like when it arrives. I pre-ordered a LONG time ago... Might have been last year... They are waiting for ICASA type approvals so I might be waiting forever

Well I'm hoping to find the dosage sweet spot. Feeling zonked in the morning is 50 million times better than being sleep deprived for me. I don't do well at all without good sleep. It's not something I would use all the time - only if I can't get to sleep, which happens most when I fall out of rhythm, or don't wear my blue blockers.
