Zkittlrz juice vape. Disposable 0.5ml
Price: R800 (R650 + R150 shipping)

Background: I've only ever tried HV products starting last year September. I finished my last HV cartridge at the end of January. Due to budgetary constraints and the lack of any sort of cheaper local hookup I have effectively been on a month-long involuntary tolerance break. My tolerance was fairly low to begin with anyway as I'm a weekend smoker but this should prove useful for a fair review.

Device: the disposable device is fairly small and very discreet. Even more so than your typical pen batteries. The 0.5ml cartridge was filled to the brim as far as I could tell so no issues there. The first two or three pulls produced no smoke but I immediately heard a lot of air being pulled in from the side of the mouthpiece when taking a draw. A quick inspection showed a tiny gap between the mouthpiece and the battery. I taped it up with a small piece of masking tape and it solved the issue. I doubt you'll find this problem on every device, it looks like a tiny manufacturing mistake on the mouth-piece.

Review: Zkittlrz is an Indica dominant strain. On my first attempt, I took my standard three deep drags (as I usually do with HV) and noticed a slight 'buzz' a few minutes later. It was pleasant and relaxing but not very strong. Later on that evening I tied doing six deep drags and the effects were definitely more prominent but as Wikileaf put it "its head-focused effects tend to be subtle" and I concur with this. It did provide me with a pretty decent feeling of relaxation though. I doubt you'd experience couch-lock from this without smoking a lot. I would speculate that this product would work well for people who may experience paranoia or anxiety from smoking and want to relax but still be functional. Finally, I suspect that the THC content is probably less when compared to HV's concentrates.

Packaging: Packaging is discreet. The device itself is wrapped in bubble wrap and then sealed in a foil bag. I was very impressed.

Ordering: ordered via the @HowzitBud_bot on Telegram. This was my first time ordering off of Telegram and I actually liked the process. Interacting with the bot is straightforward and the menus are fairly easy to navigate. I paid using Paypal which means that due to conversion rate, I ended up paying a little more than R800 but I prefer the extra bit of safety and anonymity provided by using Paypal.

Delivery: I ordered on Friday morning and took delivery on Monday morning. Since HowzitBud and myself are both located in Gauteng, your mileage here may vary.

Support: human support is provided by @howzitbudcare on Telegram. It was unfortunately mediocre at best. I was only provided with a tracking number an hour before delivery. The seller also specified their cellphone number as both the seller and the buyer contact number. I immediately raised this with the seller when a photo of the courier form was sent to me but I was assured it would not be a problem. It was - the courier really struggled to get hold of me and reception eventually gave my parcel to a colleague. Thankfully the packaging was discreet but the colleague still had questions as the seller's address was on the package and it was a fast-food restaurant. I could have done without that but it's a minor annoyance in the bigger picture. And yes I know it risky sending this parcels to a place of business but that's the only option available to me and it's never been an issue with HV.

Final thoughts: it seems there's quite a lack of competition in the THC cartridge market in SA which means you probably get what you pay for here. For vape concentrates, Honey Vape would still be my first choice but this a pretty decent alternative when finances are tight. I will very likely use them again.

Nice review bud... I might give them a go at some stage. Was thinking of ordering one of the 1ml refills as I'm sure it would fit on one of the 4 pens I already have... BUT I just can't stay away from HV.. Just ordered a laughing gas from them today... It's jusy soo good..

Is it just me or is HV's shipping broken ? Mine says Estimate Shipping R700

Thanks. It might have been too much information but since I haven't really seen others in the thread ordering from them I thought I'd try to be as thorough as possible in my review.

You could probably fill an HV cartridge using their refills. I'm guessing it comes in a syringe or something similar so I don't see why not. Also, keep in mind that they have more strains available in the 1ml refill. It may be that some of the other strains are less subtle than this particular one.

Question for the thread: how does one clean an HV cartridge for reuse?

Anyone care to share their experience with the CBd vape liquids from the vape shops?
I've enjoyed some CBD vape juices. They taste the same, but I've noted that some of their flavours stain your coil for quite some time.
Other than that though - they seem to be pretty normal and they make me feel a little more relaxed than normal.

Thanks. At the moment I'm really just more into edibles. But considering getting a vape juice to try in my pd vape.
The edibles take a while to kick in but the relaxation effects are great and they also help with insomnia and "restless leg" for the SO.

How would the vape juices compare to say, smoking a j ? is the effect immediate? how many puffs before you feel an effect and how potent and how long does it last?

I went to the vape shop at tygervalley and they have a wall with just CBD products including 2 specific CBD vape juices.

One was a "concentrate" for R500 for 30ml
The other was something called "full spectrum" which was R1000 for 30ml

My device is a Smok Novo 2, which uses 2ml Pods. Thats why im asking the above questions to get an idea of the economics involved. So I'm not worried about coils etc. cos i just replace the Pods.

I dont wanna go the route of the suppliers mentioned here, having to purchase their devices and be restricted to their cartridges.

Thanks again for the input.

So I tried I HowzitBud's Zkittlrz on Monday night in order to write a review (which is a few posts up) and then I broke my rule about only smoking on weekends by trying it again last night (but give me a break, I've not partaken in a month). Jeez, it hit hard last night after something like 4 or 5 drags. I've been struggling with falling asleep for the past few days and boy did it calm me down and then knock me on my ass. Not sure why it didn't have the same effect the night before after quite a lengthy tolerance break but human physiology is a weird thing.

Vaping is obviously more similar to smoking a jiggy! The effects are immediate, but with CBD you aren't always aware of 'taking effect'. You won't feel the effect of CBD like you do with THC.

There's no exact dose so I'd start with like 5 pulls and see how that feels and if it does what you're trying to achieve. Although I've vaped CBD all day and all it does is make you a bit drowsy if you overdo it, but otherwise, it's pretty normal. And lasts maybe 2 hours before you need a top up.

With CBD, it often comes as an isolate (only CBD in the product) or full spectrum (which may include other cannabinoids such as CBN, CBG, THCV or whatever it may be) which can have added benefits.

Although if you're looking for something you can dose regularly and daily for any given condition, I'd recommend a tincture. Vapes are great for fast acting relief, like in the case of anxiety, nausea or acute pain. But if you want to prevent something rather than just treat it when it happens, I'd use a tincture on a daily basis.

Thanks for the feedback man.

Much appreciated. I saw tinctures for 1200 at the vape shop.

Anything that u would recommend?

1200 is pretty expensive you can buy tinctures at Dischem and checkers now likely cheaper
Sorry I got it wrong

It was TERPENES that was R1200 not TINCTURE

The guy explained that terpene is "full spectrum" so it has other caniboids in it as opposed to an "isolate" that has only CBD in it

The tincture from my understanding is the "one or two drops on the tonngue" thing.

No problem at all bro!

There are a lot of good local brands you can look at, such as Africanpure, Goodleaf, or Peach & Moon. I'd buy from these brands rather than the dischem branded stuff.

But if you want to look at a store where they have local and international brands, I'd check out HelloMD. They have a bunch of brands, whether it be tinctures, vape products or creams. They also have some interesting articles on cannabis/CBD.

I personally like the Bloom Farms brand on their website, and my favourite local brand is Africanpure.
